Behold the future

Some of you may be aware that I recently purchased a Moza AY210 force feedback base and yoke. The device is wonderfully made, meaning metal and heavy. The (separate purchase yoke) feels like a real airplane's yoke. Unfortunately the device isn't working on my computer. I spent well over an hour with a gentleman on Discord trying to get the software to recognize the base unit. Unlike a traditional yoke assembly that is HID compliant, this one works through its software go-between.

The support people in China (where else would they be) sent me to a site that had some software which will allow their technician to directly connect to my computer and hopefully fix the issue. I went to the site and it was all in Chinese. I asked Google AI if it could translate the page. The screen shot below is the Chinese page. To the left is the Google AI translation. I still don't know if I downloaded the correct piece of software Being from the US, I was conditioned to wonder if this software isn't a hack into my entire life history. ;) Of course, I was told the new Seiko watch I bought in Thailand during the Vietnam thing was a plot by Japan to get revenge for WWII. The story was that one day, US every pilot would have his hand blown off when all the watches detonated. But I digress.

I just want to give you younger guys a heads up on what's to come. I hope my grandchildren are up to learning Chinese. Then again, my Dad said I better learn Russian.

Alas...All those who bought the 'hi tech' cell phones in Lebanon. All worked as intended. LOL!
