Best classic airliner for FSX?

Hello!

I realise the name of the topic sounds dumb, but I am interested to see your opinions on which classic non-glass airliner is the most realistic to FSX? My favorite aircraft is the Tupolev 154B-2, no doubt. But I am severely limited by it's range and hence can't fly very far without making fuel stops all over the world.

I'm aware of captain sim 707, great airliner indeed but a bit hard on FPS not to mention it's texturing is very jaggy even with AA supersampling (due to their extreme resolution I guess) and while the captain sim 727 is good and might be my choice I want to hear some more opinions first.

Preferably airliners built ranging 1940-1985. Just flight DC-8 sounds interesting, is it good? My only concern with that model is the texturing which isn't too photorealistic and way too clean for a plane of it's age.

In the really old ones, I would recommend the A2A 377 with the Accusim extension. It can hardly be more reaslistic than this, especially for the engine management.
Another "classic" but more "modern" airliner would be the 737-200 by MilViz, but the range might be problematic.
I've been looking at this 737, but also the recent DC-8 from JustFlight, if I'm not mistaken, which has a pleasant graphic level... But I have no idea about the realism or the detph of the systems.

The Flight1/Coolsky DC-9 is superb, and one of my new favorites (just purchased a few weeks ago). Excellent systems depth and flight "feel". Don't forget - with Flight1's policy, you can always try for 30 days and get a refund if you're not pleased or if the plane is too hard on your computer.

I don't know if propliners are your thing, but...I'm guessing that once JF gets off the dime and releases their F27, that's going to be AWESOME. It looks wonderful in screenshots. No question-- I'll be buying it.

Flight Replicas DH Heron and Captain sim 737-200 are both nice aircraft.
CS and Just Flight have a Lockheed Tristar, and Just Flight has a Douglas DC-6, DH Comet and Vicker Viscount developed by (former) Aeroplane heaven. Don't have any of these though.
Both Just Flight and Qualitywings have a BAe-146/Avro RJ.

And to pile on to the above post, the QW -146/RJ is GREAT...I bought it within the last month. And to comment on the post below, I forgot about Rick Piper's HS-748...that paired with a good RR Dart sound effect will tear your eardrums out until the arrival of the F27!

JF Constellation ( or the Manfred Jahn portover L-049-->L-1649 )
JF DC-6B ( or Cal Classic DC-6-->DC-7C)

I rarely fly tubes, but really like the way the DC-9 handles. I have the Flight 1 version, and the Skysimulations models. Both have their plus and minuses.

IF you like the old jet liners, I hear the Simcheck A300 is great. If you like super detailed systems, the FSL Concorde is also very good, tho it is one purchase I regret, not because it is a bad sim, simply because it was way over my head for how detailed it was lol.

Cheers

I always like the freeware Lockheed Electra. There are also some very high definition textures around as well.

First time poster here -

I'll second the Sky Simulation's DC-9 (payware). As far as freeware, the HS.748 by Rick Piper is really sweet, but I prefer his H.S. 780 Andover (for the reverse pitch). To that I would add David Maltby's BAC 1-11 (again an outstanding piece of work).

I keep returning to the Maltby 1-11's and Tridents. They work equally well in FSX as they did in fs9
