Biggles, Ginger, and Me

What with all the discussion on the Sanderson Hurricane, the Walter Mitty in me rose to the occasion.
A couple of rego tweaks, some judicious pilot make-up, and a desert mission is born.

Poor Ginger had a bout with the local curry last night...and that didn't end up looking too much like 2nd Lt. Wing_Z.

1940's albums often had a story of sorts, so I have added some nice cheezy comments to each entry.

You would certainly feel like you were giving it to the enemy when firing those two monster cannon.

Nice shots and agree, it's a hoot adding different faces, especially historically correct ones to paints. Have to say though, Ginger looks a very nervous, the bloods drained from his face, lol. Must've had a bad feeling about those Panzers.

I remember adding Eddie T Head (Iron Maiden) to my JF Spit mkI, was gonna do a custom repaint for him, got sidetracked though :d

There is a video which I do want to make, it has a clip of a classic strafing run with those monster cannon going Thump Thump!
Perhaps there will be music by Vera Lynn, too...

The things that are possible with FS are amazing... Friends 'in' WWII doing a strafing run in Hurry's in North Africa. Awesome....

Nice vid. Makes me pine for IL-2 Sturmovik, which has to be one of the finest WW2 air combat sims ever made but which isn't compatible with Windows 7. IL-2 1946 is, but finding one in the local game stores is liking pulling hen's teeth. Copies of it are available on eBay, but since I don't use or have credit cards, that's a non-starter. Guess I'll keep hunting the game bins...

Here ya go - new prop textures as in my screens above.

These will work in both the IIC and IID packages. The IIA prop texture is quite different (alpha wise), but I have included an alternative for that as well.
