I read that but I am confused. I am have issues not hearing all the sounds in the DSD Sound folder and don't understand how that pertains to my issue....
I just did a quick test flight(despite the hurricane wind force in my face) I heard no V1-Rotate at takeoff speed, I did hear the set cowflops-both when pressing the little airplane on the monitor next to the word COWL. No Decision Height announcement or Approaching minimums. I did hear Set Cruise power when clicking on that monitor icon. Boy! does that prop reverse work great!
Just minor nit-picky things
I've looked at the DSD Sounds and the following I do not here while flying
Rotate_A.wav
Set Cruise Power-2.wav
SetCowlsTakeoffboth.wav
APPMIN.wav
Decision Height.wav
minimum.wav
When I land, I hear the decent call outs, and the flaps set at the various settings okay.

I have been trying to modify the size and position of the Monitor Panel with no success. It's hard to read with my old eyes. It also overlaps the Shift-Z window info. I'd like to move it down and resize it horizontally and vertically. I have edited the sizes and position with no success. Also I cannot visualize the Monitor Help window. It shows up OK in FSPS but not n FSX. I can drag the monitor window bigger and drag it down OK with my mouse. Any help sure would be appreciated. Bob.
I had to resize it so I could read on my hi-res monitor as out of the box it was really small. I found it in the Window03 section of the panel.cfg file, I commented out/removed the pixel_size= line and added
window_size=0.48, 0.139
window_pos= 0.50, 0.05
This kept it the same relative size on the screen, no matter what the screen resolution was. If you want it even bigger just scale up the window_size values, be sure to adjust the window_pos so it does not go off the screen.
Probably not...as that sounds like a full rewrite of the xml ...-In this regard, I would like to place the monitor vertically on the right on the screen, rather than horizontally up!
is there a solution?
Thank you for your help!

Well, I just want to say this - This is a very good simulation model and I want to thank M Jahn and the team who put in the effort to make this. I have found no major bugs and no significant anomalies and it worked out of the box so to speak without any issues at all. (FSX-A, Win7 64bit). The monitor gauge works fine just as it did when it was first introduced on other models (I like it and it takes a lot of the pain out of setting stuff up nicely particularly in a big aeroplane which had several crew members to make it happen).
The design and textures are great (superb) and I have had no texture anomalies whatsoever. As for the sound, maybe I am not very discriminating but it sounds ok to me as well.
I have followed this thread since the aircraft arrived. I noted very carefully that this was version 1 and that yes there would be some bugs etc but it was a WIP. So some need to put a sock in it. I have found a number of responses churlish to say the least and offensive in some aspects - after all this was a labour of passion and interest by some of our community's best, so on behalf of the community I would like to offer an apology to the team on behalf of the SOH users, I think it is warranted.
I am sure it will progress and get better just as all the previous projects have, just look at the C-47 as an example. I am sure it will be a fascinating journey and some great paints etc will ensue.
