Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

BRSimDesigns Ercoupe 415C Updated For 2024

FAC257

SOH-CM-2026
This was actually a pleasant surprise in how much it's been improved. The Ercoupe was one in my hanger that originally worked okay in 2024, but then one of the MSFS updates created an issue that made me not want it anymore. When I got the notice from Simmarket yesterday that there was an update, I wanted to give it a go but was just hoping for the copilot issue to be fixed. Much to my surprise, this update is much more than I expected. They added exterior ground effects, an in cockpit EFB with several configuration options, new paints, and it looks like the textures were upgraded. So, she's back in my hanger and still squirrely as heck trying to take off and land in a crosswind.

The real one is a bit squirrelly in crosswinds, also, as you cannot "lock in" a crab. I get to fly in one quite often.

This topic popping back up in my list confused me. I didn't look at the date, so I thought there was a new native 2024 update! Couldn't figure out why it wasn't showing in my Simmarket app. :)

Still, need to revisit this. Fun little plane.

I'm having problems with this with the latest sim update 6 beta version 1.8.10. when I try to start a flight after selecting the ercoupe and an airfield it just sits on the loading screen. it also seems to block other aircraft from being loaded. all i can do is quite the sim, remove the mod and restart. then all is fine... any thoughts welcomed.

Sorry I'm not in the beta so I can't investigate this, but it does seem very strange since the mod is simply edited .cfg and .flt text files... If the original works OK then it could be a bug in the beta version.

Hmm, tried it again today with the 1.8.11 beta and the same result. I guess we'll have to wait until the next official release and see what happens then... thanks for your reply though...

Yeah, it often doesn’t make sense to chase bugs that occur in the beta, because the betas often break all kinds of things during the beta test, but it’s 50-50 whether they’ll be fixed before the new version releases.

The most important part is to report the bug on the official MS forums, so that they are aware that’s something they changed is affecting external addons.

Well the problem is still there in Sim Update 6 final version. I've logged it though so we'll see if anything happens.
OK I think I've finally got to the bottom of this - the v1.2 mod was for MSFS2020, and it has some .cfg and .flt files which are not necessary in MSFS2024.
I'm now uploading v1.3 as a separate mod for MSFS2024 only, it should be available in the library tomorrow.
