Buccaneer S1 Released (Payware)

And OUTSTANDING customer service too! I posted an issue I had with cat launches on the FSX Buccaneer S1 Support forum at Flying Stations and within 30 mins Skippy Bing responded with the solution :applause::applause::applause:

This might also be of interest to others:
- In order to have a successful cat launch from the Nimitz or Clemenceau, make sure the carrier is moving and/or add at least 20 kts headwind (FSX menu: World - Weather - User defined weather - Customize)
- Flying Stations Ark Royal: If you want to use the backward cat make sure you have the latest version, the early one only had the forward cat working.

I did do a brilliant white version during development, to be honest I needed sunglasses to look at the PC screen!

I seem to have a problem selecting weapons and drop tanks. I select them on the relevant page,but they don’t show. Has anyone any suggestions?<o:p></o:p>

Hi All,

I was wondering, for those members who do have the Buccaneer, do the switches make a sound when clicked, and does the windscreen work? These are are just petty things, and not deal breakers, I am just interested to know. :)

Hi Craig,

We felt that considering you would be wearing a bone dome when flying it and therefore your hearing would be very much comprimsed over the engines that clicking switches were not required. The windscreen wiper is static too, as this would have no effect in FSX.

However the Bucc S1 has a considerable amount of avionics and systems, such as working anti shipping Radar (in the completely modeled Observers rear Seat VC), air to air refueling, RADALT height hold, blown air across the wing surfaces, weapon load out panel, to name a few that Skippy Coded up and we built into the model.

Thanks for the reply, that's fine, I was just wondering before I purchased! I think you've done an awesome job, my only hope is that after the S.2, you tackle my personal favorite, the Bucc S.50. (I was born in Capetown, South Africa). It will be interesting to see, if you do model the S.50, how you re-create the effect of the Bristol-Siddeley BS.605 booster rockets - which, as far as I can recall, were used only 4 times, at airshows. So much for the 'Hot and High" requirements of South Africa..
