• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

I'm a sucker for props for some reason. Do we not have a C-54 model here anywhere? Unless I'm blind, which I may be...I'm looking for something pretty decent with a good virtual cockpit and good sound files. Anyone have any place to look? Our library comes up empty...Of course, I may be retarded. :banghead:
 
Jens Kristensen did a pretty good DC-4/C-54 which should be available at Avsim.com.

FSDZ also did a nice one, too. I have both FSDZ and Jens' in my hangar and enjoy them equally.

Jen's is around 2megs and some change. I was looking for maybe a bit larger of a file with some decent detail.

Which do you think is a better model?
 
Jen's DC-4/C-54 is definitely better with a good VC, better than FSDesignsBerlin's DC-4 which is an older model.
 
If you download Jens' DC-4/C-54, make sure that you download the V2.1 version (and the DC-4/C-54 Freighters V2.1). That's a bloody good plane. Available at Avsim.com, Flightsim.com and Simviation.com.
You'll find soundfiles for the DC-4/C-54 at Avsim.com too.

Great screen shots...! I downloaded Jen's last night but for some reason, it didnt show up in the simulator. I'm not sure whats wrong. I guess I'm looking for a good model, perhaps one to purchase. The models with built in installers are always a ton easier.

I appreciate the help gentlemen...
