CAC CA-15 mkII very rare problem!!I can not undestand why

Hey fellas,

I'm sorry to report that i'm not able to help with this. I used all the known tricks, including scasm edits, but still no joy. There's something here beyond the usual suspects, i.e. lightstates, crash_check and damage0 flags, that i can't seem to find. Looks like its gonna be a player-only model until we can unravel this mystery.

Yeah, This is a nice frustration, I used all my limitated known tricks and I make this post for this!.Is very rare !!.

Thanks for your colaboration,If you have a luck in future, and fix the problem, please warn !!
Is a nice model !!
:frown:

Any SOH guru please, check the model !! We need your colaboration.:salute:

I had a go to....without any file mods I set up a fingertip formation just for a test and flew them around a bit. No problems here with crashing. My first attempt failed as I used a custom add-on airfield with Australian allegiance. That didn't work, so I reset to a default piece of scenery and USA allegiance.

I use Vista 32bit OS.

Your problem with the allegiance got me to thinking. I checked the DP file for the CAC 15 allegiance and it was set to 3 or USA. I changed it to 10, Australia, but it's still no joy for the CAC.

I change the allegiance like Jagdflieger, and cfs2 crash!!

The problems is a g_lightStates !!!! jeje

Crashing to Desktop (CTD) in AI use Some converted FS9 planes will result in a CTD, when used by AI.
Reason is a wrong
A discovery by DBolt: You need to remove the "g_lightStates" variable from the DICT section of the mdl.
It just can be done with a hexeditor, but it's not so hard:
- First, locate the DICT section, close of the CFS2 tag.
- Then, you need to locate the following sequence of bites inside it:
9d e9 f0 57 23 05 9c 4e bc b6 12 bb 2f e7 3f 06
That is the "g_lightStates" ID number. Just replace the bites with zeros. Don't be tempted to remove the data, as it will mess up the mdl.
It should work with many aircrafts with the same problem.
