Can anyone guess ...

Thanks, miamieagle. Yep, I confess that making screenies is one of the main reason's I enjoy making scenery!

Update: got started with the taxiways, hardstand, aprons and roads at Harmon-Depot field today. The bulk of the field is all laid in. Next step will be to paint the masks and custom texture, etc., etc..

As always, a couple of screenies.

It's gonna be fun just taxiing around the field in a B-29. :)

Well, there is definitely a lot of taxi around real estate in which to roam!

I gather from pouring over numerous B-29 Bomber Group, B-29 Bomber Wing and B-29 whatever web sites, Guam evidently was the premier B-29 base during the war. I can see why.

Update:
Made excellent progress today on NAS Agana (Brewer). Just need to add a few random hard stands. Down below Harmon (Depot) I still reqires a few roads inside the base. After that, its finish the scenery layouts and then do the masking and painting.

A few screenies showing the two airfields as drawn in so far.

Left: looking SW toward Apra Harbor
Center: NW over Agana Bay, Oca Point and Tumon Bay into the Philippine Sea.
Right: Looking NE toward NW field and North Field

As always, a couple o' screenies:

Right: Harmon (foreground) and Agana Fields

Bravo! Especially like the blending of the ground cover - something I struggle with over & over again ... very natural looking.:salute:

Very, very, impressive, as always. Thanks for all you have done over the years, they are all great! :salute::salute::ernae:

Beautiful work as always, Maskrider! :salute: Saipan and Tinian next right?!

Well, if Tinian is the next island up the chain from Rota- can't recall just now whether or no it is- then Tinian will be next up.:)

Still need to do some tweaking and tying up loose ends on Guam before moving on, though..

Nice thing about this particular project is that it will work equally fine with or without Rhumba's new mesh and masks. Since it ships with its own mesh, it will work fine with a stock sfs2 install, too.

I appreciate all of the encouraging words! Thanks!

I think everyone here is just thrilled to pieces to have you share your brilliant work with us - it "makes" the sim for me - that's why IL-2 never "grabbed" me like CFS2 - the scenery just wasn't convincing.

Take your time, my friend!

Lots of tweaking going on. I am currently working to achieve a happy medium between the number of objects and the speedy performance of the sim. I think I have finally hit on the proper balance.

I just put what I consider to be the final touches on Harmon and Agana fields. Very happy with them. They operate smoothly on my rig- which is no top end rig. Its no slouch either but it was definitely beginning to wheeze a bit with my original layouts and object choices.

Next step go round to NW, North and Orote Fields and do the same tweaks and adjustments that Ijust did on Harmon and Agana.

After that, a little more G2K work on the roads and adding a few rivers.

Here is a screenie out the back window looking back at Agana and Harmon. They are in the can.

Update:

Just about have something ready for uploading. Just need to put in 2 or 3 more rivers and clean up a couple of minor dings and Guam will be ready to roll. Oh, yeah, also need to change the water class that sits under the island's interior so that the rivers are a darker blue

Here is a screenie of the entire island

Almost Ready. Just putting finishing touches on the readme/install guide.

Attached are the readme/install guide and the runway entries list. Feel free to read them over over and see if there are any glaring errors:

Cheers,
Chris
