Cannot use the FS9 flight planner

Hello,
Whenever from within FS9, when I am on the tarmac and i want to hit the ALT key and do a flight plan, the computer freezes up. Otherwise FS9 runs well. Any ideas about what is amiss?

Thanks,
Sid

What version of Windows are you running? I am running Win 7 Ultimate 64-Bit and can only partially use Flight Planner. I can pull it up and create a flight plan, but if I go into the Nav Log to see how long the flight will be, FS9 crashes. Makes it real hard to set up a flight plan....I don't want to do a 6 hour flight, so I create the plan then use Nav Log to see how long the flight is....I modify it until I get a flight of no more than 2 hours.

I use Windows Xp-64 bit edition. This is just a trage problem when FS9 tried to search for something on the hard drive everytime i want to create a flight plan and simly keeps on searching ad infinitum.

This can be caused by either corrupt AFCAD or a landclass file
in wrong place in scenery listing.

My bet would be an AFCAD first.

Hope this helps
