Completely from the outside and inside accurat, top work.

With the G1000 is the F1 182 with AP and ADF little better, but th Car 182 is better with Topo, Lean assist and a bit more.

I much prefer this one to the Flight1 version. FPS is way better. Purists might miss a couple of the G1000 features, but it is good enough for me. I am pleasantly surprised by how good of a job they did on the avionics as a whole. They have really improved in this area. The sounds are a bit odd in that the interior is very quiet (like you're wearing noise cancelling headphones) and the exterior is VERY loud. The interior volume seems realistic but the exterior is just a bit much. Hope they'll release a patch to even it out some. The flight model just "feels right", like something you'd expect from an A2A or Realair addon.

IMHO, this is the most impressive Carenado release to date. It feels like it may have even been beta tested a bit! Been waiting for an upgrade to the old 182Q. Looks like I've finally got it. :jump::jump::jump:

..With all due respect, I totally disagree. A repackaged default gauge with a few tweaks does not constitute a G1000. I was waiting on this one to see if carenado would surprise me with a legitimate G1000. They did not. This does not make me a purist; It is something akin to putting a top-of-the-line GPS in your car that cannot be programmed and simply shows where you are. No manual flightplan entry, no LPV capability...Well, they won't get my money. And neither will Flight1, honestly. Their model looks like it was made for FS2002. It would be awesome to see the Carenado model with the F1 G1000....

I feel almost guilty that I've never ever used any GPS in FSX or in RL (and most probably I never will). :icon_lol:!
For me it's about FLYING (in FSX and IRL) , not about punching in numbers and pretending to be an airliner with VNAV capability etc.

You mean it can't make a grilled cheese sandwich either? Oh my!:icon_lol:
Give me steam gauges and and an I Pad. You can get all of your sectionals with an app.

With respect Matt, neither you nor Carenado could possibly afford a realistically programmed G1000, especially not in what is in the final analysis nothing more than an "entertainment" package... :gameoff:

Seriously, beyond the expense of the programming, licensing the data nearly doubles the costs... :pop4:

I agree but some just cant do it with maps, stop watch and compass any more!

BTW, a stunning visual rendition to make the rivet counters brains hurt! Mr. Stolle does excellent FDE's. Carenado looks like they hit another home run, touch down, goal, basket, bulls eye....................
