Experience vehicles?
Milton,
Came in here to suggest you use the 'SPOILER' for braking. Works simple and has lots of range (adjustment). With 'drag= -1.000000' you stop on a dime (literally). For dragster perhaps 'drag=8000.000' should work (depending on weight). You can still have chute as visual candy. Flaps work ok for track as it simulates down/up shifting, but can be a hand full sometimes. The good part about flaps is that they DO offer lots of drag AND can be tied in with rpm sounds ('gear shift'). Just my 2 cents.
Where do I get off? Well, I've been doing high speed vehicles since 2007. Here are 2 videos (YouTube). '421' was made in 2007. The other is showing 'Delivery Guy' Salt Flats scenery for FSX. For a race track you can use Dirk Stuck's 'F1HO' (Hockenheimring) intended for FS9 but works in FSX if you remove all autogen to get rid of trees on track. Of course KEDW is good for strip. Keep On Tweaking (hehe).
