Cars for FSX?

Experience vehicles?

Milton,
Came in here to suggest you use the 'SPOILER' for braking. Works simple and has lots of range (adjustment). With 'drag= -1.000000' you stop on a dime (literally). For dragster perhaps 'drag=8000.000' should work (depending on weight). You can still have chute as visual candy. Flaps work ok for track as it simulates down/up shifting, but can be a hand full sometimes. The good part about flaps is that they DO offer lots of drag AND can be tied in with rpm sounds ('gear shift'). Just my 2 cents.

Where do I get off? Well, I've been doing high speed vehicles since 2007. Here are 2 videos (YouTube). '421' was made in 2007. The other is showing 'Delivery Guy' Salt Flats scenery for FSX. For a race track you can use Dirk Stuck's 'F1HO' (Hockenheimring) intended for FS9 but works in FSX if you remove all autogen to get rid of trees on track. Of course KEDW is good for strip. Keep On Tweaking (hehe).

Several months ago, smoothie and I played with the idea of creating the current land speed record holder for fsx ( Thrush?). not being very good in 3D my version never got too far, but its awesome to see other people doing very similar things :)...
Now if only we could lay rail and put trains on them too :) ..

F1 in FSX

Well there have been vehicles in all Sims. Only the dynamics were 'missing'. I made a short 'demo' showing it doing 535 Kts and 3.8 Sec in 1/4 mile, and it racing around airport to show how it looks going FAST. This model of F1 Ferrari is by Dirk Stuck. The dynamics took me 3 years to 'perfect'. The 'Trush' was made by 'Delivery Guy' several years ago and it went payware. The model may take 3 to 6 months to make but the dynamics (from scratch) will take longer to 'fit' to model. They are all different. Sorry about plug/bump, but I figure a few modelers/simmers might enjoy watching a vehicle doing 'the imposssible'. Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OAnmk4GMVQ . Enjoy.
