Cars for FSX?

Rezabrya

On Another Planet
Is there a place where I can download cars for FSX? I want to find a fast car I can explore airports with.

There are quite a few vehicles available for FSX from the usual sources (AVSIM, FS.com files area etc.). Try searching the FSX databases for 'vehicle'. I know there are BMW's, Jeeps, fire trucks, 'follow me' vehicles and at least one military Mog as I have had all those installed at some point in my various iterations of FSX.

There are also 'driveable' boats if you want to explore the waterways too.

'Hama' has done a lot of vehicles for Fs9 and most worked well in FsX, but I don't know how they work if you have SP2. You can find his site here: http://f1.aaa.livedoor.jp/~rjnnhama/ But most of his older work can be found at Flightsim.com, search for 'Hamaguchi'.

BTW you are better off with a slow flyer or helicopter as vehicle dynamics aren't great in Flightsim.. ;)

Hama has a lot of his craft ported to FSX, so SP2 yes, DX10 no. But some are real native FSX.
E.g. BMW and Pajero work in DX10, Lexus and Hanomag do not...

For exploring waterways I highly recommend Hama's Riva Aquarama.

Thanks for the hu guys. Went looking for the BMW and found it at flightsim. Still looking for the boat though..:jeep0a:

Realistic V8 sound set for Hama's Riva Aquarama?

Anybody tried a different sound set for the Riva Aquarama by Mitsuya Hamaguchi ? The default one sounds more like a turbine... I believe they managed to shoe-horn two Chrysler V8s in those italian boats... or two big blocks from Cadillac... Any 502 or Hemi sound files available somewhere?

I will have this stock car available *soon* for both FS9 and FSX. You want to see large airports quickly, this will get it done.

But, if you want to run the roads in FSX, the dirt tracks around the world, or explore rough terrain, the available speed, the great suspension, the handling, the sounds, and basic racing gauges will give you something you have not experienced in a flightsim, I am certain. :wiggle:

This package is light weight and should run on any computer that can handle FSX.

This Top Fuel Dragster will also be part of the package if it's straight-line performance you want. She will do 340 MPH in the 1/4 mile, in about 4.5 seconds. :)

Veering a bit OT here, I ran some mesh source through the compiler a few days back and it came out at 60cm native resolution. I thought "There's no real purpose for that level!". You might have created such a "need", Milton. Any thoughts for a jacked-up pickem-up truck, with big ole mud tires on it? Crashing through some back country dirt roads would be a good stress buster! :ernae:

Those are wild Milton! Love that red beast with the wide tires. Now we need a dirt track! And a drag strip, but I guess any runway will do for that...

Will it have a drag chute?
