Cessna T206H Soloy Mark 2 -WIP

OK, we obviously need an option to remove the camera, or install moose antlers on the struts to further increase the drag.

I love the camera version, but, had a question. Is there a possibility of having a view for the model with the camera that displays a camera view? It would be neat to set up an orbit and use the camera.

Can't wait for the Mk2. Mk1 is great, but, I look forward to improved visibility over the cowl.

Thanks for what you have done and what you are working on.

Yes, my plan is to implement real observer devices like moving map and camera display in vc. And yes I will think about moose antlers... :wavey:

I did camera mount animation and a control device for my fs9 helicopters some years ago. The coding will work in FSX/P3D too. Some days ago I did a lot of informations about real camera using on planes. It would be great to get at least a shared cockpit version, which allows connected people flying together online - one as pilot, and one as observer.

Perhaps there are people around here, who are willing to test Soloy Mark 1 V2 flying online together in shared cockpit conditions. Nobody reported this yet.

Observer window of exterior and interior is done, which is very common on Mark 2.

The first version is already my default General Aviation airplane despite owning a lot of payware etc. I cannot wait until this new RR version. The paint schemes alone on the more modern version are great if you do any googling.

This is Freaking fantastic work. So appreciative of all you freeware developers/programmers and painters and your amazing talents.

I will see if I can get a nearby friend of mine to help out tomorrow or Friday and share the Mk 1 cockpit. Are there any specific issues you are concerned with on the MK 1? Thank you for the consideration and forethought on the camera views.

That would be great. And no, I don´t expect specific issues, perhaps you have to use the same panel.cfg...

Very first WIP-picture of MK 2 VC cockpit - the most difference of Mark 1 is in power- and condition-levelers...

My buddy and I just flew around Portland in shared pit. I flew, he operated the instruments. Tracked the VOR just fine. I need to research what is supposed to work, and what is not supposed to (due to the piston/turbine conversion).

All buttons seemed to work. If you have specific issues you want tested, please let me know. Send me a PM and we can look into whatever.

A few questions

How do you stop the amphibian on the water? It seemed the only way it would stop is to shut down the engine entirely.

Whenever you pull the throttle all of the way back there is a beeping sound. Are there any more detail instructions other than what are in the V2.0 operating manual?

The plane fly's very nicely.

Just pull back the throttle. The water rudder is the Johnson bar between the seats. The beeping sucks, but, it is because the gear isn't down. Dunno how to stop that when landing on water.
The plane does make a little power when at idle though.

Lacking reverse thrust, that is about right.

You can try feathering the prop.

Look in the aircraft.cfg for the [gear_warning_system] section.

If gear_warning_available is set to 1, try 2.

If it is 2 set it to 0.

Sorry, don't have it on this laptop so I can't test.

cheers,
Lane

Thank you.

Great to hear - thank you very, very much for testing this topic. If I need some testing with Mark 2 and new observer model, I will come back to you.

Waiting for further informations about the power and condition levers. Some days ago I saw a RC-12 Guardrail, a SIGINT special electronicm mission aircraft, fully equipted with tons of sensors and antennas. The idea of a Guardrail Trainer was born. After some hours later, exterior model is finished.

What do you think about it?

Looks great Thomas. Have to have the turboprop with all of that extra drag much less the alternators to run the equipment. Great idea.
