Got my day - solved my 3D-lighting problems. Now we have separate landing-/taxi-lights on ground and in models. And beacon on rudder follows animation. All lights are controlled from VC. Nice!

Thomas

Better and better! Thanks for the progress update, and congrats on getting problems solved. That always feels good.

Manual script in German is just finished - have to do some more screenshots, thats all. Looking around to find a translater for German/English. Perhaps here is anybody out there. Would be great... but it is not an easy job...

Hi TiAr, first of all, you did an magnificent job sofar, I would gladly pay money for such an outstanding looking aircraft!

I am not a native german or english speaking person but understand both languages well enough (have to if you're Dutch...) If I could help you in any way just let me know.

kind regards,

Marijn

How many pages are we talking?

Same here, Dutch. Studied German philosophical texts (Heidegger, Nietzsche, Gadamer) and the anglo saxon analytical tradition. So I know my way around in troublesome translations. Also PPL :adoration:

Do you know what a "Zweitluftsystem" is? 9 pages at all without pictures at the moment, perhaps 1 is left - but two pages checklists just translated.

Thomas

Just used the google translation about the Zweitluftsystem (Alternate Air System) in Mark 1:

Secondary air system: The system prevents the ingress of moisture into the collection chamber of the engine. This must be prevented at all, otherwise the engine may not function properly. The system consists of two dynamic pressure inlet valves, a ventilation flap and a second air damper on the collection chamber.

In normal operation the movable back pressure inlet flaps are folded down from the direct impact pressure air supply. In cold weather operation (5 ° C or below), under visible humid conditions and snowfall, these valves must be closed to block the ram air supply. The now resulting negative pressure opens the secondary air flaps behind the collection chamber. The air now flows from the engine compartment into the collection chamber. In addition, an outside flap opens at the bottom of the bonnet to feed the engine room with cold air. This and the ventilation flap are animated outdoor model.

This secondary air system is operated via a lever on the right side of the console (similar to the lever of the cowl flaps in the Piston). Supreme position, the system is open (NORM), in the lowest position completely closed. If the engine anti-ice switch is activated even in the cockpit, the secondary air system is active. As in reality the operation of the closed secondary air system has a significant performance loss.

Sounds good. Three points:

The collection chamber. To what part of the turbine engine is that referring? I think combustion section?
1. The inlet section
2. The compressor section
3. The combustion section (the combustor)
4. The turbine (and exhaust) section.

"Supreme position" : upper position.

"flaps": doors

I know, the collection chamber? Sammlungskammer is inside the engine cowling. Behind the inlets - at least the Mark 1 has three intakes - one is on the top of cowling (I am quite sure this the important one) and 2 are left and right. German Manual says nothing more about them.

Wiki says about the Allison 250 C20:
Allison adopted a reverse airflow engine configuration for the Model 250: although air enters the intake/compression system in the conventional fashion, the compressed air leaving the centrifugal compressor diffuser is ducted rearwards around the turbine system, before being turned through 180 degrees at entry to the combustor.

Perhaps, collection chamber is wrong translated, better is centrifugal compressor diffuser...

English handbook would be nice - but I have only a German one...

The "Zweitluftsystem" is important for me, because inlet-flaps are animated in models and system closed impacts performance like real.

I was only being sarcastic about google translate, but actually it didn't do too bad for a total translation. That's the thing with google translate; you really need to keep translating sections, or sentences back and forth between languages to find the correct translation, and sometimes you need to concentrate on one word at a time. Sorry my German is not good. I can sometimes figure out individual words, but for text translation I would be useless.

Yes I noticed it some time ago. But there is no 3D-adaption possible at the moment. But I am quite sure, you can use it without working 3D knobs in P3D instead of RXP (which is not available for P3D).

News - German Manual is 100 % finished, send it today to the betas. If you have a bit time the next days and you are willing to help me out for English translation, PM is more than welcome.

And there is a new picture out of P3D VC Floats with some new details to see.

Looks very beautiful. The Flight1 page says you run their tool and choose the "replace Reality-XP" and it works.
