Classics Hangar Fw190 released!

I just love the shape of this plane. I had no idea the 190 was so beautiful until I started flying it.

Hey I have a question, how come the fuel lever is in the cutoff position when the plane loads up, yet the engine still runs?

It's like this with every plane in FSX.
The reason is at startup numeric animations are set to the default position regardless of the actual selection.

Clean, elegant, business-like and dangerous at the same time.
That Rudi Blaser bloke really did an outstanding job with the design.
My personal all time favorite, followed by the Bf110 and the F4F Phantom as far as visual design goes.

Just look at it anywhere, it's a drop dead knockout! One of the most beautiful planes ever produced! At least to my eye it screams fine German craftmanship!

Well I took the bait and bought it! I am impressed and love the detail on this plane. The a/c is great and the Flight Modeling is fantastic, it flies great and handles well! I think it is up there with A2A and RealAir Spitfire! It was money well spent.

My only gripe is the airplane rocking and shaking when the engine is at idle or off. Thats about it for me, she is very sensitive to elevator a bit twitchy but once you get used to it, flies like a dream like on rails! Also is there anyway to make it so you don't need as much throttle to make her start to taxi?

Great Job guys and really appreciate the time and work spent on this airplane and how it is a finished product and not full of bugs!! Thank you!

Mathias,

I showed the work you and Alessandro have done to Gizmo, leader of the OZx HD paint team, and he had some interesting comments I thought to share with you. He really likes your style.

One of the things i was hopping to do with the Ozx HD projects is get payware dev's to get off there asses and start using what FSX has to offer, far to many of them are still in the fs9 paint frame of mind and take no advantage of the extra passes that FSX's shader engine gives infact its bizare to see modelers still crashing the SDK with modeled rivets and pannel lines when theres just no need to poly those things to add insult they then go throw a 1024 single colour texture over those details!

I looked at the 190 model with no textures, and it's really quite simple and efficient, so it's easy on the CPU, being that the detail is in the mapping and textures, which is a GPU load. I hope other developers follow on in a similar fashion with top quality 2048 skins. Most people have 8800 class hardware or better these days, so there's headroom for better textures.

Sounds good, SE!:d

Thanks Huub, I'll have to wait for next month's check before I can get it, but it is my want list and I shall get it soon.

To rcbarend - Rob, how's that small gunfire package coming along?

Stan
It's ready as far as I'm concerned.
So if there's no more input from my excellent "betatester", I expect to upload it within 48 hours.
I'll announce it here in this thread ...

I'm back and forth between the P47's and Fw190's :jump:

This gun and cannon effect is way cool...:applause::applause::applause:

I don't see tracer effects as mentioned but those sounds, smoke, and muzz flashes are fantastic

Many thanks
