Classics Hangar Fw190 released!

Got my check Mathias and it's time to order, doing so in just a moment, gonna fly a Butcher Bird in a bit. Afraid I'm way behind Huub and others in repaints, please forgive if I happen to miss one and do a repeat. But I have to have a play at that too.

Good day. :applause::applause:

Hi Caz, I've just send a mail your way.

Cheers

Many thanks Mathias, have flown it once, but duties called. Already have the Paint Kit in place, but oh my word, so many paints already in the package and then Huub's and others, what paint could I do? :applause::applause::applause:

I guess it is finished.

Today I will upload this repaint at AVSIM. As soon as the problems with the ftp server are solved I will upload the textures here as well.

It has the correct spinner now, I have done some very slight additional weathering.

It depicts a FW109A-3 from 14.(JABO)/JG 5 "Eismeer", stationed at Petsamo Finland during the summer 1943. The repaint is based on a profile on <!-- m -->http://www.warbirdprofiles.com/<!-- m -->.

As usual I have used parts from Alessandro Biagi's original textures added some things from my own and played a bit with the included paintkit.

Thanks to my genious tax consultant customers from outside the EU countries now save on the VAT. That means 19% off of the list price for instance for US customers or in other words 25.17 EURO instead of 29.95EURO or 33$ instead of 39$.
Oh, and secure credit card payment is now available as an option

I'd like to say to those that haven't purchased this one, they are missing out on a beautiful aircraft that from its looks is lovingly crafted !

Also, the Customer Support is great, too! Mathias worked with me to get the 190 up and smoothly flying on my gaming rig. Turned out my FSX settings needed a bit of tweaking and now if you look at the FSX skies over KBAD, you'll see my FW on a regular basis!

Hptm Wolfgang Kosse, 1./JG 5 Oslo Norway, October 1942

JG 5 was one of the last unit to have their old Messerschmitt Bf109 Emils replaced. From June 1942 onwards JG 5 started to receive FW 190s.

Hptm Wolfgang Kosse was a remarkable person. He flew originally with JG 26 , but became Staffelkapitän (squadron leader) of 1./JG 5 in June 1943 He was demoted and reliefed from his command in November 1943 after an unauthorised flight during which he damaged an aircraft. He volunteered in January 1944 to serve with Sturmstaffel 1 and flew Reichsverteidigung duties together with JG 3. In 1944 he was promoted to staffelkapitän again, this time from 13./JG 3. He was shot down by a Tempest and killed on 24 December 1944.

Reason enough for me to do this repaint, which is based on a photograph and a profile in the book "jagdwaffe - Holding the West" by David Wadman and Martin Pegg. On the nose you see Kosse's personal emblem, which was a monkey with a tophat with the Union Jack, which has his bottom grinded by a grinding wheel.

Again based on Alessandro Biagi's excellent default texures and the included paintkit. As the file library here is still not repaired, I have uploaded this repaint to Avsim, where it is waiting for approval.

Enjoy,
Huub
