Cli4D Designs FS 2024 Yosemite scenery released

dvj

SOH-CM-2023
On final is Cli4D Designs FS 2024 Yosemite scenery update. The native Yosemite in FS 2024 is good, but Cli4D has taken it to another level. Now with animated waterfalls, ground and rock textures, and updated facilities across the valley. Check out this preview video.

While the native 2024 detail in Yosemite is very good, the lack of any waterfall animation was bad. I guess ASOBO is leaving this up to 3rd parties to figure out. CLI4D has killed it.

At one point in my misdirected youth I lived and climbed in "The Valley" as we called it. The world has change much since 1970 but we were good at what we did given the era and resources. It was a zoo then and more so now, one you need reservations for.

All of the top national Parks are like that. As a nature photographer, I have visited many of the scenic parks several times. They have become so crowded you feel like you are in Manhattan, and don't start me on the Asian tourists who have no concept of personal space and awareness of others.

I was photographing in NZ from an observation deck and a Japanese Tourist bus pulled up. They crowded in and knocked my tripod and almost myself over. In Shanghai I was showing my FO how to use the subway ticket machine and he is standing about 2 1/2 feet back and a local jumps right in front of him!

There's a very pretty village in the UK countryside were the locals have had to put up signs on their doors in Chinese to stop tourists from just walking into their homes like is a theme park.

I sent a note to Cli4D to create a button that eliminates all human presense in the valley. Buildings, roads, etc. I doubt it will happen, but it would be an interesting exercise to witness the valley as it once was. Feel the same way about Bora Bora. Too many boats and hotels has spoiled the natural beauty.

Out today. I picked it up on SimMarket. A great piece of work. Too bad there are so many cars, tents and people populating the scenery. Just like real life. The crowds are so bad there, it's very discouraging to visit.
