  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION - ALL MEMBERS PLEASE READ

Due to an increase in the number of new members who are trying to systematically download our entire Resource Library (one new member yesterday tried to download 3,000+ files AT ONCE!) we are being forced to implement some changes regarding who can download what, how many files at a time and at what speed. As the forums and Resource Library share the same bandwidth when the Library gets overloaded with demand like that the forums fall over, as we have all seen recently. It's sad that greed has forced our hand in this way but we must do something for the benefit of all our legitimate members (many of whom paid money for the upkeep of the site) and to prevent the files stored here being used for nefarious purposes. Many of our uploads have specific conditions tied to them that forbid uploading to any other site or deny uploading to any site that has a 'paywall' (i.e. a pay to download policy). Due to the number of mass download attempts recently we can only assume that somebody, somewhere, is attempting to stock up a new file library with our files and we owe it to our up-loaders to protect their files and intellectual property especially as many (like my own LDR Development projects) are made available at SOH only and are specified as such in the 'read me' files.

The forums and Resource Library will be taken offline as of 13:00 EDT with the forums coming back online shortly after without the resources library while we work on setting up permissions on the new Library module.

We hope our members understand why we need to do this and will bear with us while we implement the changes.

    Thanks in anticipation, SOH ADMINISTRATION

Downloads are now active. You may proceed with downloading as desired

The download limits are a work in progress. Some settings are likely to need tweaking in the coming days.

Copilot is not showing or not matching

Daube

SOH-CM-2026
Hi all,

I noticed recently, my copilot isn't showing in the cockpit anymore...
In the DC-3 yesterday, I swear I could see it for 1/10th of a second when switching from external to internal cockpit view, but no way I can make it show anymore.
I tried setting the weight back to zero, then back to 150-170 in the EFB but no luck.
Happened with the DC-3, but also with some other planes, although I don't have them in mind.

This morning I made another try, this time with the default DA-40 and the default CTSL. I can get a copilot... but it's NEVER the one I defined in the settings, I'm rather getting a random character every time.
Anybody has a clue about what happens here ?

My selected co-pilot still showing up here. I checked a couple of the default planes as well as a couple of the native 2024 Carenados. So I would guess something you've just recently added, maybe a passenger mod?

Thanks for replying :)
I don't have any passenger mods installed right now, but I think you're right to suggest that some mod might be the origin of the problem anyways.
I'll try to clear up the community folder to see if the bug still happens.

Tonight I have tried to remove my Community folder.
It didn't solve the issue. I'm still getting a random copilot each time I set the weight in the EFB.
Set the weight to zero, and the passenger dissappears.
Set the weight to a value like 150, and a random passenger (different from the previous time) appears.
Weird...

That is strange. Just a few thoughts, if you haven't tried already:

If you go into "Customize Identity", and select "Co-pilot", does it show your selected co-pilot character standing there? If not, then I think that would mean that in fact you have "no co-pilot" selected in "Customize Identity".

If there is a selected co-pilot standing there in Customize Identity, what happens if you load one of the default 2024 aircraft, or one of the native 2024 Carenados, on the runway as "Ready to Fly"? As far as I know, if you have a co-pilot selected in Customize Identity, the planes will load ready to fly with the selected co-pilot beside you in the cockpit (you don't need to use the EFB to load a co-pilot or put weight in the co-pilot's seat).

If you haven't already tried, try choosing "No co-pilot" in Customize Identity, then do a quick flight with no co-pilot. Then go out of the sim, restart, choose a co-pilot in the Customize Identity, and then try doing a flight again and see if that somehow re-sets the sim.

Sorry, that's all I could think of. The sim does have a "Load Passengers" option, which I've never used myself, but I don't think it's automatic, or something you could inadvertently toggle on or off.
