Creating Helicopter Mapping keys

This video explains Joystick key bindings for FS2024 helos. The issue I have is my joystick (Logitech extreme pro) is set up using the hat switch for views from left/right and center and the helo would be using the hat switch for helo movements which conflicts the function of the hat switch for airplane use.

So it looks like I can use my stick either for the airplanes or Helos (one or the other) and not both unless some one can show me some thing different so that I can
use the stick for both airplanes and helos.

You can use your stick for both. You can create a control profile for airplanes and one for helicopters (you could even create a different control profile for every aircraft, if you were so inclined). Once you're in an aircraft and created a profile for that one, you can use it in a different aircraft by selecting that profile when you're in the new aircraft. Each aircraft will remember the profile you used the last time, so there's no need to re-select them each time. I have one profile I use for yoke aircraft, one for stick aircraft, and one for helicopters. I also have one with the trim wheel on my throttle quadrant reversed 'cause some planes have it reversed for some reason.
I think there are lots of guides on YouTube for setting up different profiles for different aircraft.
