DC-2 X Released!

Thanks for the shots. That overhead does indeed look much clearer then the FS9-version. The lables on the old overhead were kinda low res.

Is the manual downloadable? So one could read abit about the system depth features?

And our Tim also has some more up his sleeve.

Cheers, Rob.

Sorry, but the "Ala Littoria" livery You are showing are completely WRONG, (expecially the "Ala"s fonts and the Italian flags/stripes) !!!!! I saw also (on Flight-Sim) an "Avio Linee Italiane" livery, probably from the same author, with maaaaany errors.....
I think that an author MUST release his work only AFTER a deep historical research !!!!

Bernhard based his repaint on this picture and info.

It's not clear to me where he went wrong.

Hi Rob,

I found in the Bernhard Lechner's "Ala Littoria" livery these errors :
  1. Ala's logo on the nose is absent, it is clearly visible it in the pic.
  2. Company's name was RED and not black.
  3. The "I" (for Italy, it was a letter, not a line) on the rudder was BLACK and not dark green, the same "I" was repeated twice on the horizontal surfaces.
  4. The Italian flag on the wings was repeated in four position, always with green on the left.
  5. The font used for codes isn't correct, it is too "rounded".
The Italian flag on the rudder is correct, but initially the I-EROS had the original "Avio Linee Italiane" flag (fascist emblem in an elliptical flag), as depicted in my livery.

I-EROS, purchased by the FIAT owned "Avio Linee Italiane" was used on the Roma/Milano and Roma/Torino routes from November 1934 until June 1940, when the company was militarized with the name "Nucleo Comunicazioni Avio Linee Italiane", part of Regia Aeronautica's "Comando Servizi Aerei Speciali". During September 1940, the plane was aquired by the also militarized "Nucleo Comunicazioni Ala Littoria" and used, in conjunction with the only Ala Littoria's DC-3 (I-EMOS), on the Rome/Foggia/Tirana route. It was in service until July 1943.

Greetings, Manuele
