• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

Default Airport Buildings

Mildenhall was one of my favourite airshow destinations, well organised unfortunately no longer run due to security risks. Likewise Waddington airshows are no more.
 
Pocklington

Dave, here are a few shots of Pocklington, as well as a couple of nearby airfields, Melbourne and Full Sutton.









 
Yep - I was afraid of this... At both KABI (Abilene Regional) and DAFB itself, several of the important buildings and hangars are just rooftops painted on the ground.
 
Thanks for posting Humberside and Sandtoft. Sandtoft almost looks like a photograph, the buildings are not right but it's a very small airfield out in the sticks and it is a better representation than the default FSX version. You can see the old layout of the original airfield.
Most take off and landings are on RWY23, Fsx always started you at the wrong end of the runway.
 
Thank you for doing all that flying and picture-taking of the air bases, John. That must have taken a lot of time. Some of those are very nice indeed, and the best thing is, they don't all look the same.
