I noticed that the texture mapping on the dual cockpit's compass was all scrambled. I've seen this before with the HP Hampden's P8 compass, and had a fix available. It involves a minor hex edit (p8_compass.dds changed to p8-compass.dds) so I've provided the alternate files required.

I also noticed that the model you modified for this has a wonky right wheel, but that's not something I can fix.

For those of you that would like the Student Pilot's Head to have a leather cap on here's a replacement cockpit texture.

I'll take a look at that, thanks Andy. (y)

This is an important fix. Could or should I edit my source and change the uploaded M3D files with the new M3D ones, referring to you and this post? And also add the two dds files in my source in a "DH_82_shared" folder?

I've fixed the wobbly wheel issue, attached here but once everyone is happy I can put it up on SoH.

To correct the compass issue I've included a re-named compass file. I've done that as I can't remember what models that compass ended up in!
It doesn't do any harm to have 2 files with different names other than space.

What do you think Gents?

The problem with calling the compass file P8_Compass.dds is that it's already used for a different texture from the Handley-Page Hampden. That's why you see the mismapping in the cockpit. My solution was to switch to using P8-Compass.dds to avoid the conflict. The Consolidated CLight download available in Resources already provides the matching textures for both versions.

I noticed the tail skid was sitting above the ground when parked.

In the Aircraft.cfg file the height can be adjusted down a bit (from -2.87 to -2.55) without causing problems.
