Diamond DA-42 for FS9?

I think I know what you have in mind. :giggle:
Two engines? Abacus released a Diamond Twin for FS2002/FS2004 a while ago.
The textures might need a little work but it flies right and its got a good VC.

Let me re-phrase that, its got a REALLY good 2D panel and VC. :D
The pilot's main display features an early version of a (wide) glass screen that looks really good.

There’s of course an FS9 version… allthough, on the latest Systems like Win 10 and 11 it unfortunately doesn’t work anylonger… and as it seems like, thei’ve now implemented the same activation processing as Flight One or FSDreamTeam do… as they don’t provide the downloads directly anylonger but via an Eaglesoft Agent.exe… which is confusing.

there is also a former payware Diamond Twin Star package for FSX, by Iris Simulations - Aviator Series, now available to download from simviation https://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=Diamond+Twin+Star

indeed @Sbob is correct - for FS2004, Abacus also produced a definitive payware that can still, fortunately, be purchased, from the likes of ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/136115456155

There is the Abacus model (if by bells and whistles you mean an opening canopy, wheel chocks and a body of sorts in the cockpit):

However I prefer the AI model by Richard Faith, it captures the basic “feel and look” of the Twinstar better, plus it has models with the different engine options: Austrodiesel (Thielert), Lycoming and Continental. Pics below (being ex AI there are no goodies) :

Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves. :giggle:
The DA-42 is fairly rare for FS9, but we're talking Abacus.
That EBay link is for the same CD set I have. The MDL files really show their age. Think re-warmed software from FS2002 that was originally for FS2K. Still, there are some diamonds in the manure pile although most (all?) of those aircraft will need some buffing and some good sound folders.
I like that set because all of those aircraft are fun to wrench on.
