Feeling a little curious, I fired up the default Max 737 and 747-8F. Wah hail, as my forebears might have said. The 737 yoke covers the LSK left keys on the "box" such that you can only program the aircraft on the ground holding the yoke to one side? No ability to reduce or remove the yoke, in flight it covers the keys such that one cannot make any changes to the flight. I suppose one could make a hot key viewpoint but this should not be necessary. For the 747-8 a plane I actually flew as Captain, the yoke can be made to disappear but numerous keys do not work such as the slash symbol which is necessary for making a speed/altitude restriction. Often not possible to make a route correction or change. You get a lot of "illegal entry/key not active messages". I am disappointed as either aircraft could be fun to fly and for the time being we are missing a good 747. The 747 is easier to taxi as some as the height of the cockpit gives a better view. One can fly an OK ILS in it though the Autopilot tends to hunt a little in pitch. It would also be useful for the aircraft to import NAVIGRAPH payload and fuel.
For some reason at SFO you will end up positioned at 19L for departure no matter what runway you select. 19L is pointed at the hills behind Burlingame and is not a departure runway.
Ya, I know tube liners...
