Problem is that the afterburner on this Tomcat is not driven by lights.
The Tomcat seems to be using all of the possible light types (10 of them), so if you use the burners for one of them, that means that the burner will control also this light.

Not easy, but as I stated in my topic, some freeware planes have really cool burner effects:

  • Removed smoke effect call (smoke effect presence was a mistake - this was left there from an early F-14A build, but afaik GE engines do not produce so much smoke. I had removed the effect on my system but the entry was still there...)
  • Fixed wing sweep indicator behaviour (but will not yet detect oversweep)
  • Fixed flap lever animation (reversed)

As for the burners Yago9 was right that certain payware version of this jet has the best sound, afterburner effects and HUD Just a shame if you don't have them!
Just look at that HUD its gorgeous in this VC but I don't think its the right HUD for the D model as its from a B but I prefer how it looks.

P.s. Sorry I had to show you this, hope some of you are jealous lol, sorry I can't help anyone modify theirs as I respect Dino's and the other hard working companies wishes too much to infinge on any of there copyrights!

Does everyone have steam coming from the catapults? See EgoR64's second screenshot above. I haven't seen this on mine.
 
I thought I saw a glimps of steam once, but after not seeing it since, I assumed it was too many beers:icon29:
 
There missions he's made arn't they?? I certainly don't have any steam or lights on the catapult shuttle either! am I missing an update?
 
For some reason after version 095 my afterburner settings got out of wack..
here,s the new ones :

light.3= 9, -48.5, -4.50, -0.30, fx_xxxxxx
light.4= 9, -48.5, 4.98, -0.20, fx_xxxxxxxx

Yes - those are AttachEffectActions(Mission SDK) on the cats. the effect is fx_Steam_Sml.fx, comes with fsx. I put lights on there as well, cool at night.
