Does Anyone Go To The AVSIMRU Russian Sight?

I have been going to the Russian sight now for days...I think it is very very good. I have D/L many of the airports in Siberia including Afghanistan (100mb), Kusekastan, Usukastan, and Tesekastan, sorry my spelling is bad but these are the three former Soviet Central States. I am reading a new book called The Great Gamble..The Soviet Invasion Of Afghanistan...what a disaster that was!! The Soviets were afraid the Americans would invade Afghanistan then the Soviets would have the Americans across the boarder looking into the Soviet's back yard.

Cheers

Isn't it Avsim R Us? (ha ha) I got some stuff there... mostly pretty good. A few things didn't seem to work & some was in foreign languages, but nice for big old Ilyushins &, as you say, obscure Eastern airlines! :salute:

Im a great fan, there's some great Soviet/Russian military airfields most with authentic ai lurking in the FS2004 scenery section, they just need abit of hunting down.
cheers ian

I have been to Avsimru on a daily basis for a couple of years now.Eastern European(Poland,Ukraine,Russia, ect.)aviation is my area of choice and there is some nice FS scenery downloads.

I was there this morning picking up a new FSX native Il86. I always check in there daily for Russian beauties and goodies.

Many thanks, I'll give them a go!

I also spend time in eastern Europe, here's a glider meet from a favourite in the Czech Republic: LKSU
Active Sky lets you create thermals, and so getting over to LKMI was a doddle.

Yak 50 with VC

I found this little jewel there recently! It's only beta but still really good - I would guess about 95% finished with a fully textured working VC (not all clickable). Good flight model too!

Lots of god stuff on that site!

Excellent model has VC, complete animatsiya.Net 2D paneli.Inogda at startup (only) fails dutik.Sayt from which to download the file appears to be dead. Who can get in contact with the author, whether to allow it to finish? "But it is so class! If we consider the full no flight YaKov.A because they are much more famous than the whole import together vzyatyy.A importantly they have no equal.
