Dogfight Server Trial running

Hmm, slight technical hitch ... This is running full screen on my W2003 server, full screen. Another task started, kicked it off full screen, which stalled the server :( sorry.

This may make it impossible to keep running, as I cant stop these tasks from running... Back to the drawing board I think.

I dont know of a way to make OFF run in a window reliable, any ideas ?

So I'm not the only one who had this problem...

Maybe we would need to continue to post our scheduled game in a thread:kilroy:
 
Sounds good! If an online game could be posted with times and connection info I would certainly try and hop on!!
Heck! If I can find the time this weekend I might try and host a game.

Ok, it got kicked out again earlier, so its doubtful if this machine is suitable to leave on 24/7 :( Its back up now (20:00 UK time) but I will have to look at ways of running in a window in the background for it to be viable ....

Oh well, it was at least worth a trial.

OFF and CFS3 are generally highly unstable when interrupted by another program or attempting to run them in a window. I've found no way to combat this in terms of server hosting.
 
Any thoughts about posting a schedule when we can expect to see some folks in there?
 
I was amazed to see that I could join the server with no problems whatsoever from my new Vista computer. No one was there but I was very glad it worked.:applause:
 
Missing planes

Whenever I try to log onto the server I get the plane list error. Is there a way to know what I need for a particular server?

You shouldnt get that error now, I have limited the game to standard planes.

I did this last week, so not sure why your still getting the error?

What exactly does message say ?

The error message reads:

mismatched aircraft fokker_dr1 Se5a sopwith_camel

Successfully located and installed version e patch. Tried getting online again and this time I was able to log in with no problem.
LETS PLAY NOW!!!!
 
I could be wrong but it doesn't seem like there is a big interest in playing online. Too bad.:ques:
 
Do you have fun playing solo?

If yes, and I think it is, imagine what it can be flying whit a dozen peoples or even more, talking with them on TeamSpeak.

There's many peoples here who fly online but for now The Boys of 60's are flying il-2 1946 Mod until the release of Phase 3 so if you want to find other players you should post here on the forum or wait on Outlaw Teamspeak server for OFF.

I should be waiting there in 3 hours (19:30 ET) for about 2 hours and maybe after Pilotsden's missions for The Boys of 60's around 23:00 ET

I was able to get online for a bit last night. Is it just my imagination or do the planes handle better online?
 
Ok, OFF server shut down tonight, followed shortly by a server reboot ....

Going to take it offline until I find a better way to do this, sorry folks :(

Thanks to all of you that tried it out, at least in theory it ran!

My TS server will stay running 24/7 so again, feel free to use at any time, for OFF games, whoever hosts them :)
