A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Scenery Add-Ons

Description: This is a set of layouts for Pearl Harbor and the aircraft bases.

These represent 7 December, 1941 at 08:00 hours and 09:30 hours.

These layouts all the ships and aircraft, (Rare aircraft included) with the exception that the SMS Emden represents the school ship USS CL Birmingham, and the pipe line for the Battleship Row is lacking.

Good morning,

The Pearl Harbor package has been re-uploaded and moved to the front of the library. Modifications include...

New INFO screenshots have been provided by Kdriver, as well as texture and .bgl corrections by several members including Kdriver. A scenery fix for Bellows is also included.

Updated as of 7 December, 2015 to include the additional mesh scenery package, as well as a modified single GSL file by Rami for easier installation.

Probably the best addons for CFS2 which took years to do.

The missions for it also shows what can be done with CFS2. It took a Master Mission Builder to figure how to make everything work. Talon had knowledge of mission building that went beyond Cody's MB Tutorials,not a knock on Cody,and did many things most wouldn't even think of or try. He always said it's thinking outside the box and there is usually a work around for most things if you look for it.

There was no disrespect meant Rami.I've flown missions and campaigns by Captain Kurt, Skylane and even 2 by you and respect the work put into them.I don't see any missions or campaigns by Ajax.

One you forgot is Shadow Wolf 07 who also does great work.

Another is Pen32Win-Best Midway missions made in my opinion and let's not forget his First strike Missions by the USS Enterprise.

It wasn't meant to nit-pick at all. Those three I mentioned do a lot of hand-editing with their missions, (so does Pen32Win, for that matter) but Ajax's Normandie-Niemen campaign remains one of the gold standards for how to really solve the CFS2 mission sphinx and get it to do what YOU want.

I got his (Ajax's) permission several years back to update the aircraft, but I didn't touch the missions. Why mess with perfection?

All the top mission builders have to hand edit their missions to make them work the way they want and to add the little extra to them. That goes without saying.

I forgot about DevilDog.

Thank you for the compliment guys.

When Al released his PHP missions I asked him if it was OK for me to make the rest of the missions flown that day, i.e. the American missions, to complete the set. Al gave me the OK and provided some suggestions.

The issue today for anyone who downloads Al's or my missions is that they use the Lindsey Watt P-40 which isn't available any longer. I should update my missions to use the Bruce Thorson P-40B -- which is not only available but is also a good model. I wish I could update Al's one P-40 mission in PHP but I can't ask his permission. I sure wish I could. So it will have to be up to the individual to replace the P-40 in Al's mission if they want to do that.
