Thank you Andy; it if finally coming together.

I am now working on an FSX native version of the "C" model. Since there are four separate models we have done, it will take a while to work through them all.

Hi Ken, that is kind of you Sir. I had no pics at all in my archives.

So, I did what any enterprising modeler would do ... improvised. :)

Both P-70's have ths setup in the radar operators' area.

Note: forgive the interior textures; not done yet.

In the "P-70's in the Pacific", these are the only references to the radar units of any significance.

Well, I went through all of my Boston/A-20/P-70 books and also my night fighter and P-61 books as well, and the only pictures/drawings are the two you posted above. It was worth a shot. I'm going to enjoy flying it just the same. ;)

Ah, just eye candy back there anyhow; no flying will take place from that position and who's gonna sit back there in a night flight? Its a spot view thing.
 
FSX Native A-20C Havoc

Just wanted to show progress on the FSX Native A-20C.

Still have some VC animations and exterior bumps and spec maps to add, some tweaks here and there.

Looks great Milton! And of course excellent work from Wellis as well!

There might be a bigger audience for the FSX version than for the FS2004 version. But to be honest I never really abandoned FS9 and I'm currently more or less abandoning FSX. The huge sizes of the textures and complexity the various maps, drove me back to FS2004 where everything is reasonably simple....

@Steve, you must have a different paintkit than I have. Where your fuselage texture originally had more than 140 layers, comes mine with a humble 22 layers. And as Gimp has its peculiar way to convert things, there are about 16 layers usable......
No big deal as I find making repaints very relaxing. It just takes more time as I have to put in the panel lines again and also most shading is lost.

I'm not in a hurry I hope you all are patient :biggrin-new:

I have just finished the left wing and will be working on the right wing tonight, engines and high tail will follow over the next couple of days.

Thanks Steve highly appreciated! :encouragement: I fully realise merging layers in a logical way and renaming them isn't the nicest thing to do..... (This is a point where I often merge things which shouldn't be merged.....)

Been there done that, that is why I am currently redoing the G masters for the 3rd time LOL.
I have just found a ten pack of coke in the fridge so will be up late tonight anyhow:untroubled:

Thank again Steve! As my repaint an additional weathering is on seperate layers, you do not really need to hurry (although of course appreciated :biggrin-new:). Once finished I will just slide the additional layers in the paint kit.

For the fuselage it is very useful to use the converted paintkit as the shading is a good indication of the shape of the fuselage :encouragement: and panel lines are always a great reference to add weathering.

Wellis textures a sight for sore eyes. Mouth-watering weathering - 'wanna-be-there' VC.
