Picture of my "re-textured" RAAF, 22 Sqn, Hilda Shane. This is still WIP, but now is based on the RGB values specified for this machine and will be ready for the release. Thanks again to Huub and Steve for setting me straight on colors.

As said I looked into the headgear the pilot did wear in the Dutch East Indies. On the first picture you see a group of pilots in front of a Curtiss fighter. My best guess is that the officers wear the peak caps and the lower ranks wear the side caps.
As you can see these are very different than the headgear worn in Europe.
The picture below shows general Gerard Berenschot who was in command of the KNIL forces. He is wearing the same peak cap but with a bit more gold added to it.
The colour was most likely the same as the blueish/green worn in Europe.
The peak cap you showed in your earlier post was worn by some Dutch pilots in the RAF it is indeed a rotary engine with a propeller, below the crown and above Laurel(?) leaves.

Wow.. you guys are doing incredible work on this airplane. It may not be up there on my list of favorite airplanes, but dang.... I've got it in the hangar, and many of these great paint schemes in the aircraft menu.

Good evening friends,
my hanger (hard disk) is becoming too small for all those fine variants of this fantastic bird LOL.
Just a question concerning the bombardier in the front post. With his red cap on his head he is lokking quiet civil.
Using FSRepaint I do not see him, as the virtual cockpit mode does not work on this plane (on my old pc).
So I do not see him. I wonder if it might be possible to give him a more military look.
Steve and Huub do a fantastic work to give the pilot the right look. So will it be posible also for the bombardier?

SteveB you're painting them faster than I can fly em...........Love your work!!!
You need too either fly faster or crash more often. That way you will be able get through the paint schemes quicker
