Flew her last night. Love it. One of if not the best freeware aircraft ever. Everyone involved should be very proud. Thanks Guy's! I'm sure the final version will be amazing.....

The fuel management seems to have some issues along with other Load Out things. Frankly, I am quite unhappy about the whole thing and will likely remove the Load Out screen and options altogether. The issues detract from the overall project.
I think we can do better with simplicity. I appreciate everyone's honesty about these things.
I like the load out screen, adding the bombs or no bombs, and the guns and such.
I have been playing with dirt again, early days yet.

I have too agree with NathanT28 I like being able too remove crew members, And with the way I fly I cannot get any In sewer ance to carry passengers or crew.

Milton,
I tend to agree with you. This is a great model and really nice flyer. Have always conducted my flt time in small bites between real-world constraints and 'Keep it Simple Stupid' (KISS), has always been my approach during work and operations.
I am not a perfectionist on mimicking the exact fuel tank config for every model and always simulate ord loads on combat a/c by utilising the 'externaltank1' and 'externaltank2' entries in the fuel config section. Take off loaded with ideal fuel and ord load for the mission. Jettison 'external tanks' before return to base and recovery.
However, on the other hand, I love the ability to insert or extract crew visually and to add or delete gun-packs and other ord. Am not bothered if deleting the gunner or bombardier does not effect the overall a/c loading as this order of weight loss is not really significant in such a/c. Am quite happy with the ability to get that airborne bounce when the ord is dropped by dropping the external tanks which are easily programmed onto either the keyboard or flt controls setup.
Perhaps we could have a two pronged approach, with one installation for the fuel and ord adjusters and one installation for simple simons like self, where we are much more into the eye-candy and spend much more time admiring our flights from outside the a/c than is healthy.
I know that for many of you a lot of the above is heresy, but if you do not state your views they cannot be considered. Whatever is decided, I agree with many of the remarks made so far on this remarkably accurate and pleasing project. This is probably the best free FS9 WWII aircraft produced to date. Thanks to Milton and his band of specialists.

I have been playing with dirt again, early days yet.
Having downloaded the pre-beta, I'm loving this whole Project!!!
Absolutely love the paints by Wellis, Huub, and Steve...and they're getting 'dirtier' by the minute.
Wellis: With that style of "artistic license", you're in for the kill! Kudos!
Loadsheet window?
My personal preference would also be with simplicity.
Thank you kind sir. I would also agree on the simplicity side (although those who are using the paint kits might find that contradictory).
If I am allowed a vote as a bystander, please keep the loadout options. Sorry I don't have the skills to aid the effort, but I certainly have the practice, as I go back in MSFS real time to before '98. Many thanks to all who are part of this.
Hallo Milton,
my home pc is almost shutted down, but as I have still to finish this night and the last night will be tomorrow and than vite vite en bretagne (quick quiek going home to brittany)
So I could just download but not test the prebeta model.
But here at work I can follow the discusions.
Here my point of view:
a) your self and your friends have put a lot of work, energy and love in the model
b) also the repainters do a fantastic job so even the rivet counters wouldn't find some thing to critic
c) the control panel is a very fine idea to adapt every plane to the desired conditions
d) this is a pre beta release - please would some one tell me which nearly realesed totaly new car would not have "Kinderkrankheiten" (might have a sense like childen problems with health)
f) this project has begun some considerable time before - so I do not see why to hurry now to finish it.
g) lets us all let the time needed to find out how to solve the problems and issues
h) I am in confiance that solutions will be found, not by simplification but by searching
and by try and error and try again
At last I would encourage Milton not to fall in the trap of simplification please !
The ideas are good with the control panel and they should be developed in the way that solutions of the problems will be found
Miltons works are so pretty, simplification would not honor all the work and love and patiance he puts in them.
just my little opion
Yours
Papi
Keep it, I enjoy it.
