Douglas C-47 V3 Beta Released

Thanks to all involved for this outstanding milestone in FS history!!!! This is reference, gentlemen! Thank you! :triumphant: You make my day and the next weeks!

eyepoint = -6.50, -1.40, -6.95 3.0

Hello; My question is
I have delayed the view 6.85 to be a little further back in the cabin and improve my field of vision because I do not use track ir
and by making this new numeration
could not click with mouse anywhere cabin
I flight to 6.50
my question is; Why does this happen
P.S; thanks for your great work
greetings to all

You might be better advised to zoom out a little to extend your view instead.
if cfg cameras in virtual copckit
but that changed me for all aircraft
i zoom it is not all the time I practice
but if no solution good
change the extent cameras cfg
in paragraph virtual Cabin
Thank you

This 'vintage black' office with faded brown upholstery and padding has just found its way to the library here at SOH and flightsim.com as well. Look for 'Douglas_C-47_V3_VC-Black.zip'.

Cheers,
Jan

Jan,

Thanks for this wonderful repaint. For some reason for me the seats and seat-belts become unsaturated and colorless in shadow but brown when lit. This is in P3d v3.3.5.

Thanks

I meant just the + and - keys for a temporary effect.
If you move the eyepoint too far away, as you found out, the click
spots don't work.
It's not unique to this aircraft.

Hello ncooper
I understand that with 6.85 out model vc
and keys and use + and - (it is)
situation sought only 6.85 or more
for more comfortable
I now understand that this number puts me off model
and I did try another plane
and the same thing happens
no mouse action
excess leaves the model number and can not be operated mouse
---------------------
I dropped to 0.40 in zoom cameras
and now more comfortable
Thank you

I'd like to have second or third view from VC of co pilot position (not positions for instruments view), so I changed the order.

If You want You can overwrite it. Start from (aircraft.cfg):

//[cameras]
//InitialXyz = 0, 0, 0 //RI -LE, UP -DN, FW -BW
//InitialPbh = 0, 0, 0 //-UP DN, TURN, RI -LE

and copy & past this:

This happens when your camera is behind a mesh/polygon of the model.
Your camera was behind the rear cockpit wall. You just didn't notice, because the wall is not textured at the back side (->invisible from behind).
From the default position turn your head around: you will see that the cockpit wall is just behind your head.

So, sadly, you can't move the camera further back. Just zoom out.

EDIT:
eyepoint = -6.83, -1.40, 3.0 use this, that is the most you can get ;-)

believe that you speak the same
I now understand the full question
it is true that there is a department behind the seat and confused like you're still inside cabin
but curtain texture is generated by rotating head
Step number 6.82
thanks for your support

WELL put your circles in the wagon there partner .. Wow'll move out - :untroubled: One John Wayne movie I'll have to keep my eyeballs out for :encouragement:

Got the V2's to use V3's cockpit. :encouragement:

QUOTE=gray eagle;1036017]I would like to remove the nose antenna, What dds file do I have to modify? I'd like the V3 nose exterior to resemble the exterior of V2 if possible.

Thanks[/QUOTE]

I found this one and another

I went looking for a USN texture for this bird and was able to locate the RVAH-3 R4D for V2 which fits perfectly as you can see from the photo with thanks to MAKO8841 for creating it for the V2. I went out looking for one for the C47 and found this yesterday and downloaded Manfred's beautiful C117D V2 and created this texture myself from the Keflavik texture. I also found a few others and will do them in the future for the C117D. I wonder if you'd create the original panel for the C117D not the modern one since it is VC. I have made a lot of pretty good 2Ds but the VC is in the model I don't know how to do it.

... If you wish to remove any sounds, you can do this by making a copy of the silence.wav, renaming it to the
file name of the sound you don't like and replacing the file in the DGSounds folder with the new silent file.
There are three such seat rattle files and you will need to replace them all.

Sorry to resurrect/bump this old post ... but I'd like to tone down the rattles slightly.

DGSounds folder???? This doesn't appear to be the default v3 sound folder as installed - so I can't find the culprit(s).

I appreciate you may be referring to some additional (Dave Garwood sounds <!--??-->). how would I tweak the original sound files?

Adam.

I ran into the same thing when applying the manufacturer decals to the engine cowls. There is a fix, but it needs to be done using the actual model. The UVW map needs to be modified, adding dedicated left and right mesh for the engines. Right now the engines share the same map.

That caught me out as well (with the Pratt & Whitney logos). Is the mapping likely to be amended at some stage, do you think?

Adam.

Any chance the sound wizards could add altitude call-outs on approach to the already wonderful sound pak? :jump:

Hello Adam,

DG = the very talented Daniel Gauthier
From the readme....
This is the next version following Manfred's popular Douglas C-47 Skytrain V2, now featuring a 'Vintage Virtual Cockpit' (VVC) as well as a fully fledged cockpit-soundsuite, crew communication and audible checklist developed by Daniel Gauthier.

It is at Airplanes\Douglas_C-47_V3.12_Beta\panel\DGSounds and you would need to (know how to) edit the config files.

Hahaha! I was wrong on all counts LOL!

I didn't think to look in the panel folder!!!! Many thanks, Nick!!

Adam.
