Hello YoYo,

You have me very intrigued....!? I can not find this aircraft on my RAAF history register!?!

I can not find 44-76323 (44-76... started at 44-76336 through to 44-76971). Also VM-YBM does not come up? I am very interested in the "KN340" number too?

Could you please PM your findings on this bird please? I have a couple of people (me included) to know more of her.

Regards,
Tim.

p.s Love the paint!

Hi

Thanks again for a terrific airplane, however I do have one slight problem, try as I might I can't get the mixture and prop controls to move as one on a middle mouse click as described in the manual. The throttle controls move with no problems I have a Logitech mouse with the middle button assigned to auto-scroll, but have tried other settings on the mouse all to no avail. I use a Siatek X52 pro and have the mixture assigned to the slider and prop assigned to one of the wheels on the throttle part of the X52. So am I doing something wrong, or am I missing something here.

Cheers
Rich

Rich..
You can use the monitor panel (shift+4). Click on RPM in the engine window (it will probably be at 100).. place your cursor over the 100 and scroll the number down using the mouse wheel. Both rpms will move as one. The same applies to the mixture controls.

Thanks for that Dave,:jump: still trying to convince SWMBO that I really need a proper throttle quadrant.

Yes.. and they need some convincing!! If she ever says 'Yes'.. choose wisely. Throttle quads are expensive so you need to get one that'll give you all you need. I used to have a 6-lever CH Quad which was great for piston twins. I now have a Saitek 3-lever quad which I've used only once. I guess it's ok for single engine piston props but for anything else.. it's compromise. A fool and his money:dizzy:

Dave I have CH rudder pedals and they are well made so I think I will get the CH quadrant which as you say will handle twin very nicely. Also got a Saitek yoke which I'm not so enamored with, I may get shot of it later and get the CH one.

Cheers

Hello zsoltquack,

Thanks a lot for all these repaints !

What about an Air France repaint ? The Martial FERON version is a "old" V1 version and I have not found any update.

There were two major type of painting
1 - all grey (like the one by M.Feron)
2 - grey with white roof

You can find more details on the Air France DC3 here http://www.francedc3.com/spip.php?article116

Thanks to the talented repainters..

Gérard

BTW : M.Feron did also a very nice French Navy painting, another one of Indochine Squadron Franche-Comte...

Hey guys
Being stuck in a recovery room at a french hospital, I cant download much.

Is there by any chance a way of getting the manual for this baby, on its own?

At least I'd have something interesting to read.

I'm bored out of my box in here;-/

OK....after a little digging. This aircraft was not part of the RAAF at all.

It was part of 243 Squadron RAF that was assigned to Canada and then moved to Camden, New South Wales. Australia. It appears that there should be a yellow ring around the fuselage roundel. This would have been to distinguish an RAF operated aircraft in the Pacific campaign/Australia. The RAF -while serving in the Pacific campaign- also removed the red dot from their markings as to not be identified as Japanese...saving them from trigger happy friendlies!

This might shed some light too.

It appears that the decal sheet for that 1/48 scale model is a little misleading unfortunately....

Cheers,
Tim.

Hi Dougal.
Well if you are bored you are healing well, great to hear.

The manual is only 34 pages long and was released as a taster before the release of the aircraft, however I can't find it to send you a link.

Jan will see this though and he will surely know where it is and send you the link.

In the meantime I will keep looking.

Cheers Chris

Nice! Good find, Thank You.

Sound.ini not found

Hello,
When selecting one of the C47 V3's I always get the message that the C47_DSD_FSX_XML_Sound.ini could not be found in its GAU. After clicking that message the aircraft loads well.
Where can I find that ini of is my GAU damaged?
reg.,
Piet de Geus
