Douglas C-47 v3 Livery Thread

Yes I'm here. I lurk here in the shadows and don't post much. I'll see what I can do in the next few days.

Thanks for your kindness regarding your special repaint for Super DC-3 known as C-117.

Meanwhile, can anybody please be kind enough to point me to correct direction where I can find the SAS livery mentioned in my previous post seen above showing screenshot of the SAS DC-3 with registration number SE-CFP painted by Skyhawk18?? I cannot find the repaint on SOH, Avsim, and Flightsim libraries.

Regards,

Aharon

If people would bother to actually read the thread, they might find the link in post 1157 still works - watch which browser you use though !

Butcherbird17 painted tons of liveries for C-47/DC-3 but I cannot find his repaints on SOH library. When I used his screenname as search field keyword, it produced only 4 repaints that had nothing to do with the already mentioned specific plane.

Please advise??

Thanks,

Aharon

I'll have a dig through my old HDD backups. I'm sure I must have had this at some stage.

If you do find the paint kit can you upload somewhere and post a download link. That would be appreciated. Anyhow thanks for your assistance thus far.
Right ... I've found three zip files. It's been a long time since I did my RNZAF Warbirds livery for the C-47 so I really can't remember which one I used as a starter.

I've no idea which of the versions (FSX, V2, V3 or P3D) are covered - so please let me know which one(s) fit the bill and I'll upload them to NZFSIM. In the meantime, here are the three Dropbox links:

Your a saint you just made my day. I've been trying to find these for ages and now I have three variants. To be honest all are useful depending on how you want to work. 1st is with the two main parts of the fuselage etc. The other two you will need to split as it is the who thing. I also cant really see much difference between the image files between the various sims. For example I have version 3. I have downloaded aircraft for FSX, FS2004 and p3d with various variants and haven't noticed anything nasty by using them all in FSX. Even the pbr versions can be used by renaming the main files and deleting the relevant pbr detailing files. You need though to transfer the basic bump and spec files from an original fsx version and hey presto! Looking between all three I cant really se any obvious differences.

So to round things up, many thanks for your assistance it is greatly appreciated which you think to upload to NZFSIM. I would say make them into one zip file and explain that there are three versions that can be used.

Once again thank you

Best Regards

Douglas

Thanks for the suggestion - I'll do it that way!

The JV/MJ C-47 was one of my favourite aircraft in FSX and P3D, so I'm glad to pay something back for all the pleasure those models gave me.

I'll post a link here after I've uploaded the paint kits to NZFSIM :)
