DSD Simulations Freeware Avro Anson Released! (8/23)

I only realised after downloading and installing this really excellent bit of work, that VX-B was included!
This in itself is another one of those Kiwi undertakings that make you wonder...

The model does lack some external noise, wondering if there is a suitable soundset one could swap in?

An excellent job all around. Many thanks and kudos for this wonderful bit of history. Enjoying a trip back in time. Thank you to all who made this happen.

Hope we can see the full range from the original Anson package. I had it and flew the Canadian versions a lot. I do like the Mk 1 however, as I own an instrument panel from an original WW2 example! Got to sit in one at a Canadian museum too. One of my favorites. Nice to see this!!

I see I'm not the only one with the see-through port wheel hub. I thought it might just be a graphics glitch in MSFS2024. Odd how it only affects one wheel, and not the other.

When I set the mixture lever to take-off the engines stop (out of fuel). Probably the take-off setting and cut-off setting are reversed.

Does anyone still have old FSAddon paintkit for the Anson? I can't find it anymore, and I would love to make a few more paints for it

There are very few Anson Mk.1's left intact in Canada. R9735 is therefore a rarity. Located about three hours drive from me, it resides at the Western Development Museum, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. I took these pictures on two visits in 2010 and 2014. Time to go for another visit I think.

Jankees, if no one here has that paint kit, the guys at DSD are in contact with the FSAddon guys & are trying to get the paintkit file/s. I tried to find it but all links are dead which is probably where you're at too...
