Here's something interesting. I installed the new 1.20 update, following the word document to a "T". Now the only era I get is 1940, Hmmm

Sgtreilly, are you perhaps using Vista? If so, do this:I've got a problem with changing the era.
When I start the MASTERETOSTARTUP.bat, it lets me choose the era I want to play, changes to the ETOGLSwapper.bat but then exits with an error message stating that cfs3.exe can't be found.
When I start the game mannually by clicking on cfs.exe in the CFS3 ETO Expansion folder, I always end up in the 1940 era...
I'm running Vista 64bit, by the way.
The problem is, that way I can't even update to 1.2 because the readme says to change to era 1 before you try to update....
Any suggestions?
DaHeld, the Attack in the West '40 splashscreen indicates Era 1. When you start ETO, you will normally see two splashscreens, one will be smaller than your screen, then the CFS3 Movie will play (unless you have it turned off), then you will have a full-screen splashscreen. Both splashscreens should be identical, except for size, and color (Eras 2, 3, 4, and 5). The two instances of the Era 1 splashscreen are the same colors, and say "Attack in the West '40".Does anyone here use AVG identity protection and if so does it affect how ETO works andwill it affect downloads and log ins?
In January my XP OS died and needed a complete reinstall which destroyed all registry files and has led to a total rebuild of my system programs. My least favorite at present is ETO ....
First I do not have a clean CFS3 installation..... If I am stumbling on the right thread, how can I achieve a ghost or parallel install of CFS3 to use as an ETO install base?
