request for ETO 1.2 download URL

Hi,
the ETO 1.0 and 1.2 expansion packs downloaders at: OZx forum don't work for me, maybe because my operating system is on "I" partition; it doesn't even start the download.

I did download (it took 40 minutes) the ETO 1.0 from the URL on page 3, post no. 60 in this thread.

Can anyone provide a URL for ETO 1.2 and possibly other expansions, such as PTO etc. ?
Can be a URL to it on a file hosting website; just any working URL.

Also, why is there no torrents for the expansion packs?

1. You will need a clean, unmodded, fully updated (3.1 and 3.1a) CFS3 install.

2. You will need to install 1.0 first and then 1.20 for a full install.

ETO will copy what it needs from CFS3 and won't hurt your CFS3 install at all.

Yea, but like I said the downloaders at the website you mention don't work for me so...

All I'm asking is for someone to give me a working direct URL to ETO 1.2 or if anyone could upload the ETO 1.2 to any File Hosting website/service and provide a link to that file.

Again, the downloaders don't work, but the link to ETO 1.0 on page 3, post no. 60 DOES work, so isn't there similar URL to ETO 1.2 ?

I really want to avoid DVD swapping...or let's put it this way:
I won't play if I can't download it...

All that is being provided to you for free are working URLs for downloading ETO and 1.2 update and countless missions and downloads

I have my CFS3, PTO, MAW OFF and ETO all installed on F drive. I never had any issues downloading and installing any of it. If you are having issues then it must be on your machine its certainly not the links.

Here is a link. Try this. Save the zip then open it and run the down loader. You have the choice to change the save location if you want. Try changing it. If it won't work post more info on the error

This is very interesting:
After I installed the ETO 1.0, the ETO 1.2 downloader started to work...so either the server is finally running...

...or this quote:
"This is an update and you need this file to make it work!"

should read:
"You need to have the CFS3 ETO Expansion 1.0 INSTALLED to be able to download the above CFS3 ETO Expansion Cumulative Update 1.20."

...but the direct link to ETO 1.0 DID work, so it would mean the server was offline...

You do not have to install ETO 1.0 before downloading 1.20 update so there so there is no reason to change any statement. There are many reasons for the download process not to initialize that have nothing to do with the server status.

Yup, I think it was my Comodo firewall blocking the connection without letting me know. I'm not sure now because I don't remember if I had it on during the download, but anyway, I uninstalled it and the downloaders work now.

I have strange problem With ETO. It is minor but very irritating. In all ways but this it works perfect. The problem when you hit F5 to display a line of guages on the bottom of the screen, My speed guage is replaced by a Direction guage. It means I have 2 direction guages but no speed guage in that mode. Any Idea about the problem and how to fix it? My standard CFS3 works perfect in that mode.

YOU can cycle through your HUD gauges by holding down Ctrl & Shift at the same time and use the numbers
1 - 5 on your keyboard (Not the numbers pad to the right ) to change the guages,

"Example"

Press F5 to bring up your gauges

If my first gauge (#1) is showing the direction gauge, and i have the same one showing for my fourth gauge (#4) and i want to change the first gauge (#1) to show my speed gauge, i would hold down Ctrl & Shift at the same time and keep pressing the 1 key on my keyboard (below F1 and above Q ) untill it brings up the gauge i want.

i downloaded the file and it said it was a 1.17GB dl but when it finished it said it was only 35.7something MB then i tried to extract the files and it said that the zip folder was empty help plzz

Running XP home 32bit.

I have downloaded (twice now) the 1.0 from the Aussie link, downloads no problem. I have tried extracting, copying, running and none of the options will happen. Doesn't extract, comes up with error after ages. If I copy, it goes through the process for a minute then stops with nothing copied over. Computer seems to be working fine as I installed FSC Lanc the other night without problem.

OK, I have tried extracting and testing with 7-zip and it is telling me the file is broken. I have also switched off my anti-virus and firewall when trying to extract / install.

For the update 1.20, I used the download program, but for 1.0, I used a direct link as the program link on post 100 doesn't work. Sounds like I could do with a download program, but can't find one.

Any advice appreciated.

the link works from this thread, but if I copy it into my browser it takes me there all the same so I'm a little confused about the instructions about not inking from this thread. Can you shed some light on this ?

I have found the link no problem and downloaded the full 1.17Gb twice now.

Third download worked, so all now installed. It's crashing when I try to load a campaign, so no doubt there's something I haven't read properly, so will have to try to figure that one out.

:kilroy:Guzler, what campaigns are you trying to load, and in what Era?

The Phoney War and Attack in the West campaigns are only to be played in Era 1. You will have serious problems if trying to paly thos two campaigns in any other Era. Also, you need to use the ETO Spawn Selector where appropriate. In your CFS3 ETO Expansion main game folder is a folder named CFS3 ETO Expansion READMEs. This folder contains a great deal of very useful information.

Thanks Grizzly. Problem was not selecting the right spawn type for the campaign. I figured it out last night. What a fantastic addon. I had been holding off installing for months as it looked too complicated (I couldn't get into OFF for that reason), but its quite simple in hind sight.

Thankyou to all who have contributed to this, your efforts are greatly apprciated.

:kilroy:Guzler, take your time. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the readme files in the READMEs folder. They will help you a lot. If you still have problems, just come back here.:d
 
Got some more flying time on it last night and all is well using the right spawn options. I've had MAW for along time, my son plays on that alot, just gutted that MAW phase 2 never came to light.

Guilty of not reading readme's, typical bloke I guess !

Sorry if this has been asked, I d/l eto, extracted- its file is in my in my microsoft games folder. when i try to open it i am asked if i want to open or save- i tried both ways, but everytime i choose "open" it just generates another "do you want to open or save?" also when i installed cfs3, it never told me the version on the startup screen, and even though i updated to 1.a, it still doesnt id which version im running at startup. sorry , i know im probly asking a repeated question, but its almost impossible for me to decipher all the posts on subject, i would be happy just to play offline and eternally grateful if i could someday play online

How big is the ETO file you downloaded? The ETO download is more than 1GB, but if the file is much smaller, you may only have the download manager which gets ETO from the site for you.

This being the case, the program is trying to download ETO for you: let it!
