ETUO RAF Gutersloh_X with HARRIER HIDES_X - WIP

I can't imagine how good this will look when finished. I only hope I can run it!!:encouragement:

Hi all,

I have to say sorry, but I noticed there were some shots lost while cleaning up my cloud folder :banghead:

Now trying to repair it this way:

Originally added shots to post #1:

Here the shots to post #7:

Originally:

Thank you, guys. Simultaneously, I am working on the Harrier Hides.

Here the WIP at the Senne Range. Meanwhile, I felt in love with the Wilco Harrier. It fits well into the sceneries and it's flyable (and landable!) like a charm after I exchanged its airfile from the RazbamAV8B. Some changes to the gear behaviour and contact points now let it move like the real ones.... The shots show the new trees textures and finer model structures compared with the FS9 version... (which is still in progress - believe me....)

Here a shot of the operation field Riege Area. It shows the improvement of the ground polygon textures I think to be used at RAF Gutersloh_X as well....

Truly great. I love the trees, which are not the same in a row. But you could do some more bushes or lower trees inside. I know, they are WIP pictures, perhaps something like that is on your todo-list. Modelling of the sheltered parts are well done. Perhaps it is worth to rework the green/grey roof texture parts of shelter houses a bit.

Thank you all - yes, several objects have to be added indeed. Currently, I am doing lots of experiments with the ground polygons. Using my new technique as already done at the Harrier Hides, there is well progress in the meantime.

In marked contrast to common airfield grounds which are mostly made in one big piece each layer, I used small pieces in patchy alignments. That way, you get a natural ground with no repeated surfaces...

According to the real ground, I can add tracks (infield), shadows (where trees are) or dirt... Okay, that's what I am working on :dizzy:

Even from a high altitude, you can see the different patterns of the infield....

Hopefully, next time I can show shots from the revised concrete surfaces...

Thank you. Today I did some improvements, and I can't help it - playing around with some options inside the paint programme, it looks much better now...

Here the infield area again, close up to show the details of the grass now...

I also worked on the wild grass area, between taxiways and the shelters. Here you find more burned grass and sandy spots.

Here is a comparison shot to show the difference between trimmed infield, wild grass area and to the left the photoreal area, that will not be longer needed if progress is going on that way...

I cross my fingers to get same nice results when adding tree shadows or mud on top....

For the specialists among yourselves: Yes, the runway isn't finished yet. It also will get some more surfaces and edge textures :very_drunk:
