Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

FAMOUS FLYER # 10

That's strange, DVJ.. I'm having similar issues. Out of seven attempts only the first one was successful. The sim crashes, CTD even with a clean Comm folder. Chose another AC and no problem. Not sure what the issue is.. The very first flight I chose Alaska Air with GTN 730. Loaded and flew fine with the exception that couldn't change the Nav 1 freq on the GTN head. It wouldn't even swap or change freq.. Finished flight wanted to try with another package and have been unsuccessful ever since. When the plane did load up that one time, I flew for about an hour and it worked fine other than I didn't see the spoilers activate upon landing when I enabled them. I'll keep trying to see if there are any other circumstances to clear the 707 for TO. :)
Glad to read I'm not the only one.

Has anyone found the switch to turn on the passenger cabin lighting? So far unsuccessful. One of the liveries had it on as default but I cannot find any switch.

Ahhhh, thanks for that. Turns out there is a small galley DC power on switch at the top left of the engineer's panel. That activated the lighting controls. ;-)

I love these repaints. I flew on a BOAC 707 from Singapore to Darwin and Sydney as a boy - only the second aeroplane trip of my life. Seeing it gleaming in the floodlights at Paya Lebar airport was thrilling, and I couldn't believe we were going to travel on such a fabulous machine.

Started to put some time on the 707, [there have been so many recent releases of new aircraft, hard to keep up with them all], but thought I would explore the Virtual Engineer capabilities.

The User manual is in a section of the MSFS2024 official site:
https://www.flightsimulator.com/aircraft-manuals/

& its about 240 pages long!
So, a lot of reading to do.
