Having been a mechanic (drivability tech) for 20+ years I got to work on most of those in the list, and there's some pretty good ones on that list, but sadly missing some of my favorites:
The VW scirocco that became the corrado,
The rotary Mazda rx7
The BWM 633csi

Perhaps the 2010 Chevy Camaro I ordered, which ought to be here this Thursday?
That's not directed at your BMW, MaddogK, as my upcoming V6 1LT (also M6, naturally) is a couple tenths slower than that coupe at least - maybe not the 'vert). I guess performance wasn't BMW's overriding concern with the 650, because I'm surprised it's not quicker with a decent-sized V8 under the hood. Just my opinion, but I think they could have done better with it. I'm sure the interior is fantastic, but as someone who is happy-as-can-be with just the "luxuries" of A/C and power everything, I'd rather have something slightly slower yet $50,000 cheaper. I could get a pretty hot two year old used Corvette Z06 with the difference.
Of course there are hotter BMWs out there, just as there's the Camaro SS (I've even seen that they're strongly considering a new Z/28 to make the swaggering prima-donna GT500 crowd weep! ). To each their own.

heh, no prob. I've driven some scary fast rides (surprisingly a benz in dat mix) but rarely did I run across a car I could say had that perfect balance. My old 633 had it, and my one drive in the new 6 also had it. I wish my 29 y.o cutlass had it, but when I win the lottery nobody has to guess what I'll be buying.

I voted none of the above also, as my choice is not a car...it's a Volkswagon. Remember Air is rare!
Same here, except mine is still my daily driver.
Good ole slant6 power. 1980 model, half-ton. 196,000 miles now & still uses very little oil (have kept the valves adjusted myself). S'all this flyboy needs.

I don't see my fav on the list either, I have to say my all time fav is my current ride a PT Cruiser... OK stop laughing... seriously, I really like this car, it handles very well, and it is comfortable, even the back seat offers a very comfortable ride, and I really like the way the rear seats fold up to give extra cargo space, it is a great design.
I also kind of like the way I brought the wife around to my way of thinking on the "Cruiser", we went out car shopping, and I told her I wanted to look at cruisers, she said "there is NO WAY I am getting one of those, they look stupid!" We drove around to a few lots, and test drove a nice Intrepid, when I pulled back into the lot, I parked beside a PT, and said "come on lets just take it for a short test drive". I drove it down to a local mall and got her behind the wheel to drive it back, when we got back to the lot the salesmen said he wanted to show us a demo that was just avaliable, she looked at him and said "no thanks, this is what I want"...lol Mission Accomplished!
I drove our PT for 3 years before I passed it along to my wife (her car was aging rapidly and I wanted back into a truck) and it was a fun car to drive. Initially I liked the look of it and despite its small size, it was a roomy ride. Both me and my son are 6 foot in height and it was comfortable. In describing the PT, the word "neato" comes to mind!
My brother and his wife are on their 3rd PT Cruiser. They put an average of 60,000 miles on one each year. They'll keep it for about 3 years then trade it in on a new one. I don't know what they'll do now the Chrysler has announced they're going to quit making the PT.
They are neat little cars. My mothers friend has one and they have purchased every addon you can for it. Looks like a futuristic Woody with specialised 'everything' attached to it and a pint of paint for pen striping. Their pride and joy. Thing is about 3 years old and looks brand spanking new...
Our neighbor has a very nice Audi, speaking of Audi's in the poll. I dont know if its the A4 though. 4 seater convertable.
I voted other. My fave is a Prius hybrid, but also the classic vintage early 90's Infiniti Q-45 and 'any' Range Rover...

Hi,
It's a twin engined Studebaker Avanti- 16 cylinders, 4 wheel drive, used by a repair shop to push cars out of the road in the winter. Being front wheel drive it was perhaps not too big a problem to put another drive unit in the boot. The front and back were chopped off from the wheel arches and a thick tough rubber mat replaced the missing metal. I saw it in Hot Rod in the Sixties, I guess, and have never forgotten it!!
