SOH ADMINISTRATIONBvANKL,
Unzip this into a temp location. Copy the entire header section of your current model's aircraft.cfg and paste/overwrite it into the same location of the cfg from this zip file. The header section is everything at the top like this:
[fltsim.0]
title=FDG2_F4U-4 Corsair VF-61
sim=F4U4
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=
KB_checklists = F4U-4_Check
After overwriting and saving the changes in this new cfg, move it into your F4U folder along with the air file. Choose 'YES' when prompted to replace your current files. If you're running Vista or Win 7 with UAC turned on, you may have some problems with overwrites and replacements...just work it out.
...this will maintain the performance that I created for it, and your engine will start just fine!...

Boeing,
My neglect is responsible for causing this problem. When I created the performance pack for the FDG fighters, I made a mistake or two. In order to achieve the proper performance, I adjusted the power and thrust scalars. The thrust scalar can be adjusted without much trouble, but on most aircraft models, if you drop the [piston_engine] scalar down below 1.0, you can end up with the engine not starting. If you look in the aircraft.cfg file and scroll down a bit, you'll see two entries that look like this.
And this will maintain the performance that I created for it, and your engine will start just fine!
Please accept my humble apologies.
