Fixed WW1 .MDLs for Stuart Green aircraft

Just For Clarity....

... And because the head cold I have makes comprehension almost impossible... :isadizzy:

What do these newly-revised MDLs do for the Stu Green aircraft, Mr Brown ?

Many thanks for the hard work done on these MDL's:salute:. They are excellent! Now SG's planes look and work proper in CFS2.

Your welcome. I'm hoping that some of you will get on the case of proper CFS2 airfiles & DPs ( and probably some panels). More skins would be nice also but there are a number of FS skins available on the usual sites that basically only have to be run through MDLC to make them work properly in CFS2.

Thanks very much Oldwheat and B24 guy. I'll be putting these aircraft to good use. It's a pity MDLC doesn't work with Windows 7.

I think I have converted all of the available skins for SG's planes and they work and look just fine. Airfiles, howerver, are WAY outta' my league. I just try to match up with a similar CFS2 air file. Not perfect, but doable.

Same thing with the panels. I just open the panel cfg and one by one change each instrument with a known CFS2 WWI one. Works out okay most of the time, just takes some time.

That's pretty much the drill for those of us lacking the payware panel making & airfile utilities. I had the panel maker for a while but it was swallowed up by my latest crash :banghead:.

Very Nice. Thank You OldWheat. I was going to start on all of SGs planes. saves me from making a new thread. Didn't Morton just release a bunch of these.

NVM I found them.

I'll post the files as i complete them.

Many thanks!

. . . for the Snipe!

Like lots of others I've been making do with DIY conversions, complete with frozen surfaces, and squinting my eyes to ignore them. A big thank you to the pros for coming up with these great conversions and - of course - to Stuart Green for all his great models.

Honestly not carping guys but there are a couple of things about the Snipe package that might confuse others.

- The sim name in the aircraft.cfg file is for the original FS9 version and not the 'SG__Snipe_CFS2' name you've given it; it won't load unless people change it.
- Maybe it's my rig but two of the DXT3 textures ('cowl' and 'snipe_metal') show up as transparent and I had to overwrite them as DXT1 to fix it

But these are minor hassles that don't detract in any way from another great team effort. Please keep it up with the other models.

Cheers
BuV
