Is there a way to edit aircraft flight dynamics within FSX, such as a tool included with FSX? I know of the software Air Wrench, but wondered if there are any other alternatives.
Thanks.

There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

What exactly are you interested in editing? Most tweaks can easily be done within the aircraft.cfg or in some cases that and the airfile, using AIRED.
Well, what I often see problems with are aircraft that (when rolling down the runway) have the tendency to takeoff on its own..... before I even pull back on the stick. Am thinking there must be an adjustment to parameters somewhere. Also, in some aircraft, when I make a turn, they stall WAY too easily, and am sure that cannot be realistic.
I downloaded the airfile manager previously posted about. Indeed, it appears to be capable of doing all this, but I have NO idea how/what to do! It looks so complicated!

Thanks Mal,
I am not a pilot, but there's times when I just instinctively feel that the flight dynamics of some aircraft just don't feel right. Such as when a aircraft's wheels lift off the runway WAY too prematurely, without any stick input.

yeah, either that or you can't get the darn thing to lift off at all!![]()
Oh when that happens to me, I try adjusting the trim....... If that doesn't work, I often make that particular aircraft go "bye bye" from my aircraft folder!!!
Extreme measures eh?
Trouble with doing that is you may deprive yourself of having a plane that you really like just on account of it needing some tweaking.
Next time you get a plane you like but needs config help or if you have one right now, let me know and we'll see if we can't get her fixed up. I'm happy to help out if I can.
If you feel more comfortable sending me a PM, please do.
Yeah +1 for AirwrenchFor those not wanting to make an exploratory career out of this I highly reccomend Airwrench at the cost of a couple of beers at the local watering hole.
Cheers: T
I dont use airwrench myself. It makes a few mistakes here and there, and its isolated to freeware use.. But anyone that does it the way i do, is either an engineer or insane.. I believe i fall into the second category there ::lol:;..
