Even though it altered the original lines of the Spitfire, for the looks the bubble canopy with the "Merlin" Nose and the original wings personally is the ultimate version for me.

Enjoying it a lot (also with clipped wings)!

I think I agree. The Griffon with the big prop kind of looks tacked on; the Merlin feels more integrated.

Man, those clipped wings looks so wrong and so right at the same time. Some planes look like they were designed by the sky itself.
