For Rami

Well sir,

I am hoping that you can take a full shower soon...we cannot enter you into the Boston Marathon if you stink...

Something tells me that we all kinda like you around here ??

Be safe my friend,

Dave

Rami,

Just because it's your first shower for some time, and just because it's yours, don't get in too much of a lather....OK!..;)

On this Thanks Giving day in the USA, whether some enjoy the day or not....

I think we all here at the SOH have something else to be thankful for:

Rami is healing and going to be with us for a very long time... What would we do without him ??

No Dice,

It was truly nice to have a "normal" Thanksgiving with my brother home from rehab and doing well, and last Thanksgiving I was a nervous wreck because my mom had a kidney transplant that morning. So having her at the Thanksgiving table instead of the surgery recovery room was truly something to be thankful for, as well as improving health on my part. :applause:

I've got to put a rough draft together for my EDMC 530 class by tomorrow, so no CFS2 for me until that is done. :mixed-smiley-010:

Good morning,

I spoke with the Mayo Clinic yesterday; the preliminary timeline for Phase II of the surgery is February 28th, with a consult on February 27th, 2019. :mixed-smiley-010:

That is great news.....And this may be your best Xmas ever sir.

Keep improving...you have a race to run next year.

Allen,

As far as my leg wounds go, I have plateaued just short of full healing, but I am hoping that a change in materials, and some down time following the end of the semester will fix that. The swelling and discoloration are all significantly reduced, and my endurance is increased.

I won't really know how my system has adapted until I go back out in February. The only contextual clues I'd have is if my pre-surgery symptoms and problems return with a vengeance, but to this point, it has not happened.

So, I'm kind of in a holding pattern.

I have had two of the ulcers you are talking about. The wound clinic in Owosso Mi. did a great job healing them . Last December I broke my left foot and ankle which had to be rebuilt. I have two titanium plates and about 13 screws holding everything together. had to go back to the wound clinic to get two of the scars from the surgery to heal . they are now healed up. I had a stuborn cut on my left foot which would which would not heal. They used some kind of film which promotes healing and had amazing results in about a week .Almost healed up with just a pinhole left. Can't say enough about wound clinics. They are great. Hope you have as much luck as I have. Take it easy, you will get there. Have a good one ,Blondi:costumed-smiley-071

Good afternoon,

I have good reason to suspect, but cannot prove at this point, that at least parts of my venous system may be re-constricting. The swelling in my leg is up slightly, and I'm getting that toxic avenger vein in my left calf back again.

Looks like they're going to have to do a redo in February, but we'll see. I won't know for sure until they run the tests. :encouragement:

Well, I was having a good day until now !!

That sucks Rami, may the new year bring a bright ray of hope for you sir

Andrew,

Any chance that your GP could refer you for a venous ultrasound to confirm/test your suspicions? Trouble is that even if this was confirmed could anything be done before February.

Ravenna,

No, but since I am in the Minnesota-Wisconsin area, I am going to give the surgeon's staff a call and make them aware of the situation. I don't think anything can be done before February.

To my Friend Rami

May 2019 be your best year ever

We all at the SOH are with you sir

Rami........

........don't be shy! Call them and explain that unfortunate circumstances have bought you to the area but that you seem to be developing something that is worrisome to you and your family. They probably will be happier to see you sooner, when it can be assessed and any necessary action taken, than wait to when it can become a problem.
I know this is what you are considering but do it while there. DON'T wait for the apt.
Pulling for you here!!

Good advice. Get it checked by the experts while you are there. :wavey::wiggle:
