• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Forceware 195.39 released

On XP or Vista (or even Win7)??????????

For XP go to Start\Set Program Access and Defaults\Change or Remove Programs.

Then scroll down to nVidia and click on 'nVidia Drivers' then click the 'Change/Remove' button.

Be aware that when the old ones are removed it will want to reboot and when it does it will come back at 800x600 resolution (as it has no video drivers) so it will look odd and all your desktop shortcuts will look huge.

Install the new drivers and reboot and you should be good to go apart from sorting out all your shortcuts as they will all be clumped together if you had them arranged in any way before.

I have XP - this driver set won't install. For Vista and Windows 7 only says the error message. 191.07 works OK for me though.

Hey Bjoern, 3dmark means nothing, its gameplay that counts, It gets posted quiet a bit, but those scores mean little , they are just pretty pictures to make you feel good. There is always a differnece between 3dmark and gameplay , which is what most people prefer. Ie is it smoother, are FPS higher, more stable. 3dmak can give you a really good score then when you play it is worse. Dig around the driver forums you will see what I mean.

I only use 3D Mark to test overclocks and drivers and from my experience if 3D Mark runs smoothly, games will too.

Overall it doesn't mean a thing, but it's nice visualize differences.
