Really liking these old wood and canvas jobs of late. Joe Binka's Antoinette ports over nicely.

No thick manual to sweat over, just fire up the lawn mower engine and off you go.

Yes the Antoinette is a really sweet aeroplane to potter around in. Lots of time to take in the sights and simply ewnjoy being airborne. She, along with Jean-Michel Castagne's Bleriot, are two of my most favoured aeroplanes.

Bu then, I luv anything that has wire and canvass in it's makeup!

seriously though, i always thought the guys who flew those planes were lunatics. they're basically flying a powered kite. bravery or nutbar? somehow it's cool either way.

They were brave to get in those aircraft in the early days of flight. They new the risk but the passion overtook that fear! Nice looking aircraft!!!

you could say the same thing about pilots nowadays, flying at insanly fast speeds at insanly low altitude with nothing but an electrical system stopping you from hitting the ground and the only backup is a bit of canvas and string.
