FS 2004 Radio Range System ?

TeiscoDelRay

Life Time CM
What does this software do? Is it and adf system or another radio direction system. I downloaded it from flightsim.com thinking it was an adf enhancement but have not installed it yet.

No, it's not an adf enhancement. It is the re-creation of the radio signal transmissions used to navigate in the 1930's and 1940's, before the advent of the more modern navigational aids. ADF was introduced around 1945. Basically, it is a radio range receiver, the radio transmission stations/freqs and in the most modern of the panels, a sextant to plot the stars. There is much more in the package, but that is the basics of it.

It's a fun way to navigate. I had one "H" of a time adding it to several other era aircraft though. Although I used the same entries, it worked on some planes but not on others. Just one of those strange things you sometimes run into.
